in that case, it seems like the only thing that could be discussed is whether or not there was time left on the clock. There was one second I guess.
honestly, I got nothing.
Points taken. We are probably similar ... except I drink more than "barely", have left the clutches of organized religion, and don't like slipknot (or any "metal" other than Sabbath with ozzy and motorhead). Give me bad brains and minor threat instead.
Anyway, I don't care who the picker is...
I like cook as a player, and I wish him the best.
that said, I'm more worried about this team without nick baer. I hope some of his teammates replicate his hustle.
The athletic director for the school randy covers literally held a press conference to discuss the dishonesty/unfair behavior of the officials.
Not sure these folks should be clutching their pearls at fran's behavior.
Good point.
I’m hoping that, twenty years down the road, there are a bunch of players tied with 34 consecutive free throws, but none have passed it. Your reasoning above makes me believe this even more.
I grew up watching walter payton high step when he scored. Every kid imitated his moves in every backyard game for years.
The NFL honors excellence on AND OFF the field with the "walter payton man of the year award."
If it's ok for the namesake of the man of the year award ... I'm ok with...
So, you're mad about one specific thing (which is actually kind of annoying), but you decided to make a broad statement about all athletes announcing their commitments on video?
Makes sense.
Thanks for the explanation. I was gonna say "WE? Speak for yourself, pal. I'm going on a cruise in march."
But you explained it. so I don't have to respond.
I'm glad all that was avoided.
The part that stuck out to me was that he's on track to graduate in May. Assuming that is may 2017, not sure how he stays. He'd have the degree; it could only be about raising his stock.
Maybe all the combine prep would change his projected graduation date -- in that case, I guess I just don't...
I think it's that we (fans) tend to look at the officiating ONLY as something that costs our chosen team, as opposed to something that goes both ways.
I don't believe officiating is perfect (in some cases, it's probably not even good) ... I just don't subscribe to the notion that it's biased...
I don't disagree. I guess my "fan philosophy" includes a refusal (ok ... a reluctance) to blame the refs. But that's a lifestyle choice that keeps me from obsessing over calls.
If my team did everything it could on the field, and a call "cost them the game," I'd probably blame the refs...
If Speight hit one or more of his wide open WR's for deep passes (there were opportunities), there's almost no way we would have won. Maybe they should focus on the parts of the game that were well within the team's control.
Also I like how their game banner for the week has 9-0 Michigan...
This is why I don't follow recruiting. Too dynamic, and I'd just end up having a heart attack or something.
I live by the "Rudy Reuteger's dad" philosophy ... I'll believe it when I see them on the field in uniform during a game.
