If you listened to the announcers, you won't believe this, but...

Hard to call out an announcer when Iowa allowed how many offensive rebounds in the first half? I had no problem with Webber.

He was pulling for Iowa, but I think he's terrible. Iowa's not a pressing team, Cook is Iowa's only source of offense, Iowa can't take people off the dribble, Iowa doesn't have anyone that can shoot long range over someone, etc. He just doesn't do his homework on teams.
 
But that first half the rebounding was terrible. They were constantly getting 2nd chances.

Iowa probably wound up out rebounding Cincinnati because they started making their shots in the 2nd half giving Cincinnati nothing to rebound.
 
To be fair we didn't rebound well in the first half. I also remember a stat at some point midway through the game where we were losing the offensive rebound battle 10 to 3.
 
To be direct, Iowa looked like a team that was shooting on fire against a superior team that eventually had no depth to it. When shooting like crazy goes away.....

That said...fun game to watch. JW and JBo may have some more crazy shooting left.

TC seemed to play more away from basket which pulled his defender out at times.

Wiescamp was the best all around player on the floor at times yesterday.

When Cook pulls his man out it gives Garza more room to operate, and creates driving lanes for the guards. Cincinnati's help defense was spotty.

JW got a good matchup. Maybe not against TN . JW is a very solid player but struggles against speed and strength. JBo didnt all the sudden arrive at pt guard. He is what he is and is given . He is a heck of a gunner. One of the best.

He just needs to shoot in peoples faces more instead of always trying to get around people. He was definitely confident yesterday

Wait until Joe gets a full off season to get stronger. He will make others struggle against speed and strength.
