!*****Official Butterflies @ Brokeback Jok & The Magnificent 13 Man Rotation Game Thread*****!

Honestly no one in Columbus cares about college basketball until the tourney starts. Just seems to be missing on recruiting last few years and although it was great seeing Iowa drub a team OSU didn't bother to get off the bus tonight. Respect him for not pulling an Izzo and throwing his team...

AP Top 25 Programs of All Time

if you go back and look at who pedo state actually played in the 70's and 80's it's pathetic. One maybe two legit teams a year and that's it. The majority of their schedule each year looks like most teams beginning of the season non conference games.

No 5 Stars In This 2.2 Million Square Mile Area

Back in the day it was easier to recruit Florida and Texas. Now pretty much every div 1 football game is televised so that's not a selling point anymore. Most kids that grew up in warm weather won't want to come play at Iowa if they have any other option. Iowa winters suck. Most kids out of...

    Fran coached an excellent game!

I agree. But I also think that this team has something that Fran hasn't had with some of his other teams at Iowa. Toughness, physical and mental.

    Wide receiver

Michigan has 9 mill people living in the state Iowa has 3. Would not surprise me to find out that western Michigan has lower admission standards than Iowa. Not saying Iowa doesn't need help at wideout saying your argument is flawed. Also not sure why people keep choosing to forget that CJ's two...

Kirk Ferentz should be ASHAMED of himself

I see both sides of this. On one hand if the doctors say he's not going to hurt it anymore and the kid, who's basically played hurt his whole career says he is good to go, you keep him in. But as a coach you have to be the one to say enough is enough. The pick 6 should of been enough.

Howe: These Were the Hawkeyes Many Expected

Lets see we had musical chairs on the oline for most of the beginning of the season. On top of a new center . the only tight end with any experience was out most of the season or playing with lingering injuries. All of our top receiving targets from last year left and the only one our...

    North Dakota: Thugs R Us

Honestly I think the way Jok was treated tonight was a good warm up of what he's going to see in the big ten. I also don't expect the ref's to be any better about it. I am very interested to hear Fran's post game interview.

Not A Good Look for Bob Stoops, OU

Not sure why you quoted my wall of text as it was not directed towards you nor is it saying anywhere that I feel he should of been disciplined further. I was only trying to point out that the video shows nothing to me to merit any more action other than what's already happened. From a legal...

Not A Good Look for Bob Stoops, OU

This thread is a fine example of people confusing morality and legality, something that is going on on both sides of the aisle in this country. Imagine the world we'd live in if people spent as much time trying to live up to their own moral code as they do trying to impose their own morality on...

Demand for B1G title game? Anyone else dumping tix?

Hate on OSU all you want but they have the better sos Then both of the teams in the championship game, they also have one less loss . Their only loss was to Penn St. on what was arguably a fluke play. I don't see any reason to take either of these teams instead of OSU, or clemson or washington...

Poll: Will firing assistants/coordinators fix our problems

The only problem the program has is the state of Iowa's population.

    Kirk sending a message?

Actually go look back to Iowa's end of the year games against Minnesota. It was very Kirk like for a senior day/rivalry game with bowl positioning on the line.

1 turnover, 0 points and 4 fouls from our starting PG

with Dale Jones hurt again we only have one senior and two upperclassmen that will play meaningful minutes. Since the last time I checked we are not Kentucky where we get 5 one and dones every season I'm going to guess that the majority of our team needs to adjust to playing ball at this level...

Nebraska is right; it's not a rivalry

Well it was nice to see Kirk not only not pull his starting d the last Neb possession but also run a play with 25 seconds left ,his team up 30, instead of kneeling. As much as I'd like to see us go back to playing Minn our last game it's good to know the coaching staff is treating this rivalry...

    Miss Woodbury at the moment.

As bad as the d was it was the turnovers that lost Iowa the game. That stretch halfway through the second half where we seemed to turn the ball over 4-5 times in a row for easy layups.

You think CJ and King are playing

A QB is only as good as his receivers. Last year he had 4 reliable targets and this year with vandeberg out and kittle being in an out he doesn't really have any. I'm also assuming the knee and knee brace is limiting his ability to make plays with his feet.

    Beth Mowins?

Doesn't she do play by play for like womens baskeball also? I'm assuming she's not doing play by play for college football because she's good at it. She's doing it because she's under contract with ESPN and they need x amount of people to do play by play for games and having her do it doesn't...

Not sure where else to put this, though it was interesting

This has nothing to do with Obama. This has to do with the Women's studies department at the U of I ****** off about the new football facility (That donor's paid for), and the new president. Essentially a land grab to force the state to pay for things that donors won't.
