It produces more than people think. JVB is a good qb. You got a good receiver in Davis. A-Rob was a great running back before things happened. Knott is a future NFL linebacker. Lenz has been the most clutch receiver ISU has had in years.
Doesn't produce the quantity of recruits like...
Not talking ISU... look at rest of conference. ISU, Baylor, and K-State all put a beating on Texas. K-State has owned them last 5 years. Yet, only team from the weak Big 12 north that can't beat the almighty rich Longhorns??? Guess who? Its all in their head, and was a ****-poor excuse for...
Schools currently in the conference man up and beat Texas and won't leave the conference simply because they can't beat a single team. Must be tough to be a (former) national powerhouse and get your *** kicked year after year by the same team. Are you going to leave the B1G when Ohio State...
Typical ISU prospect under Rhoads? So far, he has pulled Lenz, Knott, Vanderkamp, and Jevohn Miller. All are typical ISU prospects with not much interest from major schools. The first three are probably the best player on their respective side of the ball.
Keep getting in-state kids like...
Classy move? He was forced out. The conference would have imploded if he had stayed - OU would have left for sure.
Anyone looking for a laugh, check out FakeDanBeebe on Twitter. Epic.
When ISU gets regulated to a lower conference, going to be tough but would settle for becoming a Husker fan (puke) rather than rooting for you ****s. You see states like Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas where their rival schools are sticking up for each other in realignment. Frankly, the state of...
Great point... Other than KU, there are some tough games out there yet. Need to get 2 from Texas, Missouri, Kansas State, Baylor, Tech, or Oklahoma State. A/M will be tough, but is at home, but that game and OU game are going to be brutal.
And keep the AQ status from the Big 12. 252 million and a guaranteed BCS bowl every year.
Yes, I know you need a few teams in the conference to keep the BCS tag... but I can dream.
Had to re-read to make sure you were comparing a starter on a national championship runner-up to a scrub on the last place team in the Big 10.
He is not your prototypical one trick player.
I think your over-generalizing NW Iowa with 1-2 towns. Towns which are very similar to Pella. Should I say that Central Iowa falls in the same category?

Great comparison. If ISU wouldn't have choked so many games and then went .500 in league play, they would have been a tourney team due to their non-con schedule. Similarly, Iowa can do the same this year. If you make a hard schedule, you better be good enough to back it up, because...
Wow, that is an incredibly week schedule.
Come out of that with 10 wins, then you have Minnesota, Penn State, Indiana, and Nebraska to beat up on.
Looks like Fran could have it turned around faster than scheduled. Could definably see you guys in the NIT this year.
Um, 2 of 3 were national championship coachs, albeit not with ISU.
Regarding the game, its simple supply/demand. Guess what, there are enough Iowa fans willing to pay it and the stadium is always full for the game. Guess in my opinion it is better that Iowa and ISU make money on tickets...
Funny thing was last year Big 10 members were happy to add a PRESTIGIOUS academic institution to their conference. Really wish people would stop with the BS and just say its all about money, cause Nebraska adds nothing for academics.
