Don't know, it has been at least a month since I have visited that forum. It was turning into a ghost town before I left as Blacktarn was aggravating everyone.
Oh, gee...I don't know. By getting the best poster ever banned perhaps?
Good victory dude. Now we can all go back to no conversations on this board. Herby had horrible opinions but at least he got conversations started which is what a message board is for. The funny thing is Herby is a grumpy stubborn old man who gets mad when people don't agree with his opinion. How is that worse then the big gang of people who get mad at him for having a stupid opinion so they rip on him constantly and call him idiot and motherf***er? The only difference between Herby and all the people ripping on him is they don't have as dumb of opinions as him and are more rude in the arguements.
When I picture Herby I picture some old guy who had a stroke and is limited to what he can do in life. It's obvious that he is a huge hawk fan judging by how much time he spends on here. I'm guessing this is a huge part of his life and it gets taken away from him because people push him to the point where there is no choice but to ban him. Is it really that hard for people to just accept Herby for Herby and not get so mad over what he posts?

Herby's gone???
I'm confused. Are you more upset because now there will be no conversations, or that people ganged up on Herby (and thereby created the only conversations on this board in the first place)?
Dude was a troll (I've never been sure about the stroke from Day 1. This is a message board with anonymous posters, after all. How would any of us know if he was making that up?), who couldn't take a lick of disagreement without putting words in everybody's mouths (posts) and getting uber defensive, and looked down on people for lacking vision when it came to Iowa and its players (in both football and basketball). Plenty of people can and do discuss Iowa's players and the matchups in particular games, and they can do it without talking down to people.
Definitely more upset about the lack of conversations that is going to be going on around here. What you said about Herby is all true but is it that hard to be the bigger man?

So we should have just ignored him? How does that create any more conversation than banning him does?
There is an ignore button. I've never used it, though, Tork. If I see a post from someone I don't care for, I just skip over it. Pretty easy. For the record, I always read your posts.

Herb was like a carwreck. Horrible but I just couldn't look away
