Herby had some valid points, it is the made up stuff and attacking of everyone that made him intolerable. When he actually stuck to his opinion about basketball, not bad. When it came to having a conversation, there was no conversation, always turned into something that has no description.
 
There is a medium between ignoring and antagonizing. He is only mildly over the top until people start antagonizing. He calls people haters and they call him stupid motherfu**er then people complain that he is the rude one. I'm not defending him as much as I'm saying a lot of other people are just as bad and purposely push him to make him worse.

I'm serious that last time he got banned there was a noticeable drop off in conversation. I get why people get pi$$ed at him but you would think more people would back off when there are already 10 other people ripping on him. It's like everyone wants to be cool and fit in by making fun of the dork.

I don't recall anyone calling him a stupid mother****er, but I could be wrong on that.

He twisted any level of disagreement into high treason. You say White proved he can't play at the 3 effectively and putting him there was a mistake, Herby says Fran said he could and you are calling Fran a liar (even though Fran has since moved White back to the 4). You say Gatens could help this team, Herby says you think Marble and White are little more than scrubs.

That's pretty much the extent of what Herby brought to the conversation. The rest of it was just regurgitation of Fran's pressers or recruiting databases. Not an original thought to be found anywhere.

Do you really think he atatcked people worse then everyone else attacked him? Maybe it was the number of people ripping on him that made that side come off worse to me. Maybe if people would just accept him for who he is and quit the intentional prodding, name calling, and asking for him to get banned,everyone could get along.

Also I would like one example of Herby having a valid point.

But this was the "conversation" that Herby created on this site. You can't have the conversation AND people accepting him for who he is and giving up the antagonism. They're mutually exclusive concepts in this case.

That's only a small portion of it. Not all people that engage herby are doing so to intentionally get a rise out of him and it's pretty easy to tell the difference. It also creates side discussions with other people that doesn't even involve Herby.
 
Does he really bother people to the point where they want him banned? If people hate trolls so much how is Ghost still here? Like someone else said, is it really that hard to sift through the posters you don't like? I guess that's the world we live in. People trying to get rid of what they don't like instead of ignoring it. Some people need to visit the museum of tolerance.
 
People think it's bad that Herby can get people to defend Indiana and hate Gabe? How do you think i feel that people can gang up on someone so bad that I feel like I need to defend Herby?

You never really read his posts then did you, just looked for the rants maybe?

A lot of Herby's initial posts, unless he chose to respond to one about a match-up, actually had decent information and opinion.

I don't think there's that many who post to get a rise out of him. There's a lot more, like me, who engage him after he's already started and call him out. And like I said, even the most innocuous things could set him off on one of his rants. He didn't require much provoking.

I also disagree with the "small portion" bit. This thread alone is proof to the contrary, and there are countless others just like it. I wouldn't be shocked if threads like this with people arguing with Herby (in the same manner as we see in this thread) made up about 20% of the activity on the basketball forum this season.

Herby wasn't a troll, I think you know that. I would get upset at Herby too, especially when he started attacking people, calling them haters for basically seeing things differently than him. No way was he a teoll though, as basically if Herby was trolling, he was only trolling himself, because he seemed to be the one all p1ssed off in every thread.

Plus lets face it, posters on here (myself included) took shots at him all the time.....we shouldn't be shocked when we get a reaction from him.
