When he gets to Nebraska, hopefully he will realize that if he is going to play basketball in Nebby, that it would be foolish to play for the 2nd best team in the state. Then after waking up and smelling the coffee, he will sign with Iowa on Sunday.
tic toc, tic toc... I hate waiting!
Well... the Hawks are the third best team is this state so that would be foolish too. I would go with Nebraska.

Third best? Could you qualify that please?
Refresh my memory, where did ISU finish in the Big 12?

The Iowa basketball program can and will improve. This is going on and occurring as we speak.
On the other hand, Ames can try as it may, but will always remain . . . well, Ames. And Cedar Falls (no personal offense intended) really sucks.
I get your dismissal of the talk, but the real concern is if you are defining head to head as the determining factor - then Iowa isn't 3rd. They beat both Drake and UNI this past year...I can't believe I'm stepping in but the state's best team has always been defined by head to head competition. The mythical state champ isn't defined by any conference standings. All this being said, the state schools sucked this year so it really doesn't matter.
Iowa couldn't beat the last place B12 team on it's own home court? Sorry...couldn't resist.
I'm not talking about the Big 12. Did I mention the Big 12? I talking about the state of Iowa. I think most people would agree that with all of the talent coming in to ISU we are most definitely ahead of Iowa. And UNI is also ahead of Iowa.
I don't think many people would argue with this. Heck, if Phelps could actually coach, Drake would be ahead of Iowa. I think they've had the best recruiting class in the MVC the past two seasons.
LOL. If I do recall, Iowa did beat UNI. How did Isu fair? UNI would finish either last or second to last in both the B10 and B12. But I agree, as of now, on paper, Isu appears to have a better team for next year.
And for God's sakes, can we STOP making everything on this site Iowa vs. Iowa State. It's borderline ridiculous. We'll just end up deleting posts / banning users if people can't stay on topic. It's so ridiculous. Talk Iowa Basketball / B1G basketball on this forum. If you need to talk about ISU, take it to the woodshed over in the Rivalry Forum.
Thanks in advance.

UNI beat ISU. Iowa beat UNI. ISU beat Iowa. That doesn't really tell you a whole lot. I'm talking in terms of programs. UNI went to the Sweet 16 last year. They are always solid. ISU has a load of talent coming in. Iowa has.......um........hope. I don't care who beat who last season. Look ahead to next year.
