What I want to know is where are schools like Britt getting a steady influx of players? The northwestern quadrant of Iowa is not an area with exploding population, and hasn't been for years.
Both coaches are and were very thin-skinned when dealing with the media. Here's a thought, if you don't like public scrutiny, don't take a highly visible job of D1 football coach.
Was just watching the Okie State - Texas game. A Cowboy fan held up a sign that said, Iowa Sucks. Thought I was watching the Minnesota game for a second.
With the way this season's gone so far we're so far outta the possibility of winning @ OSU. But hey, bring on the next game. Play with what we've got with personnel and scheme and coaching. Leave it all out on the field. That's all there is. Then move on from that.
The enjoyable thing about a game like this is that anything short of a beat down by OSU is a small victory. Not having stratospheric expectations can take the pressure off. If the offense craps the bed however all bets are off in keeping the score respectable.
What gets me is guys like Kirk aren't stupid. You don't get this kind of longevity in D1 football by being totally incompetent. Having said that, can't he see the game has changed? Is it that much of a challenge to his ego to change his view on offense? People in all fields of life have to...
Embarrass Kirk? By making and change and possibly winning a game? Got news for KF, no one cares if you deviate from your original philosophy. As the late, great Al Davis once said, "Just win baby."
Working in the health field as well but not nursing I've had two regular vaccinations and two, soon to be three boosters. Even without being in my 60's I simply do not want something that has the potential to compromise my breathing in any way. Thankfully, any patients who see me have already...
I was listening to a YouTube channel last night that covers Iowa and he was claiming to know one major donor who was upset at what was going on with the team.
