Slow blinking occurred when saying an evaluation of Brian and being a family member had no impact on said evaluation. Then the fast blinking started.

Regardless of what happens the rest of the year there is no way they can run this back.

What is interesting is that the OSU fan boards and press has been negative on what is happening at Iowa all weak. They seem put out by it. The question doesn't surprise me.
 
Not that none of us didn't already know the answer but rest assured Kirk always willing to let the season go totally to shit and over before any type of change can be evaluated. And the only reason he put Padilla in was to shut fans up and say see, this guy struggles too so bar injury any takers on the QB position for rest of year.
 
The reporter that pursued the issues around Brian certainly brought up the elephant in the room. Kirk's response is what we have grown to expect. He didn' throw anybody under the bus but he didn't make any definite commitment to make changes that are obviously required. He implied that would happen after the season is over. There are some winnable games on the schedule and I do hope Iowa is able to make improvements and win them. Kirk and his boss need to realize beating a bunch of weak west division teams won't erase the ineptitude of his offensive philosophy.

Three wins and a bowl appearance probably keeps the engine moving for the Ferentz family Machine. Must wins are Northwestern, Nebraska.....and they are going to need to steal one of those other ones.

Kirk first of all looks fitter than Brian for a man his age, second Kirk is never looked more uncomfortable in a press conference in his life. Kirk, for his own mental health, better look for a solution. You can just see this is upsetting him more than being questioned about his own coaching ability. This is hard to watch. Kirk knows Brian isn't up to the task. Kirk knows he is treating Brian differently than other coaches. This will not end well.
