Preview: Hawkeyes Aiming for Season Sweep of Indiana

Iowa has seemed to respond well to adversity. But 3 consecutive physically draining close games and a short turnaround from a close loss Tuesday to tonight has me a little worried. Indiana also played Tuesday and almost won scoring less than 50 points. So I don't know who has an advantage in...

    No tyler cook

RevKev basically wants Cook to be a player who if he were as good as RevKev wants him to be would probably be in the NBA and if in college would not be at a place like Iowa. Cook is the leading scorer on the team. The offense should run through him. I don't know why that is so hard to...

Predict the B1G final standings - simulator

I'll go 12-8 in the B1G, 23-8 overall. I don't know which games will be W's and which will be L's. Iowa has to guard against fatigue because we are late in the season and Iowa has had 3 straight nail-biters along with the emotional highs and lows of those games. They have no true bad losses...

OT: How to lose a ballgame

I actually like fouls being called on a crowd. You want your team to win...don't do stupid things that hurt the team you root for. It's that simple. I thought fans liked being a part of the game? Take the good with the bad.

    Brady Ellingson to Drake

Ellingson is exactly where he should have been from day 1...in a mid major conference. He's shooting 48% from the 3 pt line and is on perhaps the best team in the MVC. Life is good for Brady Ellingson right now.

    No poll movement?

Since beating Michigan they have played Indiana, Rutgers, and Northwestern. None of these teams are even in the top half of the Big Ten. Beyond that game Iowa had the "easiest" schedule in the conference left. Hard to build your ranking when you aren't playing anyone of consequence. If they...

    Buttgers’ Guards

Rutgers isn't the worst team in the conference, not by a long shot. So they have that going for them. I seem to remember them beating Wisconsin at the RAC in the last two years and they thrashed Ohio State there earlier this year.

    Michigan coach ejected

Crazy wins have been happening all over the conference this year. Illinois and Indiana have beaten Michigan State. Rutgers beat Ohio State, Penn State has beaten Michigan. Iowa almost fell victim Sunday. It is a crazy year in the Big Ten. Actually, it is quite impressive Iowa has yet to have...

The Iowa Players See You Leaving Carver Early

My fat a$$ isn't rushing the court. The students can rush to their hearts content!

The Iowa Players See You Leaving Carver Early

If you park at Kinnick Stadium or at the south end of the finkbine lot you can get out on Melrose fairly quickly. If you leave on Hawkins you're screwed.

The Iowa Players See You Leaving Carver Early

They aren't leaving, they are just going to watch the rest of the game on the concourse so they can be among the first out the door when the game ends. I see it all the time no matter the game. 43 continuous rows of seats is alot of concrete to traverse just to get out or get concessions...

Can Iowa Continue its remarkable turnaround?

Here's the rest of their schedule: @Rutgers Maryland Indiana @Ohio State Rutgers @Wisconsin @Nebraska At 19-5 the possible end records are 26-5, 25-6, 24-7, 23-8, 22-9, 21-10, 20-11, and 19-12. Obviously nobody knows how everything will turn out but Maryland and Wisconsin are the two ranked...

Dochterman just put out a really interesting tweet

Andre Woolridge made a game-winning baseline jumper at the buzzer against MSU in the 1995-1997 range. Not a 3 but still a game-winner.

    Really, Really Poor Effort!

I will also say Iowa now has a target on their back and the Indiana and Northwestern games illustrate that Iowa will get everyone's best shot from here on out. Perhaps Iowa is struggling to transition from hunter to hunted?

    Really, Really Poor Effort!

I agree. It is near impossible to win when the other team seldom misses a shot.

    Really, Really Poor Effort!

I'm not surprised Iowa had issues with this one. Iowa had a relatively short turnaround after their tough game with Indiana. I have always believed Sunday games are the worst because the crowds are pretty laid back and the opponents typically near the bottom of the standings. Doesn't make for...

    Ok, Iowa's good.

He spent most of the game on the bench in foul trouble. Hard to get going when you don't play. Also hard to get going when you're doubled every time you touch the ball in those limited minutes. He'll be ok.

    Ok, Iowa's good.

Sometimes you need a little luck. There were times Indiana had Iowa totally locked down at the end of the shot clock and Iowa took and made some off-balance three's that don't always go in. It wasn't Iowa's best performance but a sign of a great team is winning games where you don't play your...

J-Bo is the most important player on this team

Baer will be missed more than anyone realizes next year. What he has been through with the winning his first season, the tough last two seasons, and now the winning again just shows how steady he has been. In his entire career he has impacted nearly every facet of the game. He has played...

Fran, 2nd place, tied with Lute for wins at Iowa

Barring a Lickliter-like cratering of the program or massive NCAA infractions it is an iron-clad guarantee he will be here at least that long.
