I'm sure it's quite informative. However I'm not sure it's proper to recommend studies that you yourself haven't taken.

There aren't different penalties for first time drinkers? I suppose the first time you got drunk you also got suspended for a game of playing for the University of Iowa.
Let's face it, You're being super judgy and I bet your house is glass.
Everybody please stop calling him Riley!
I personally don't care about the public intox. He wasn't putting anybody but himself in danger. However, he's probably suspended because he violated team rules. I'm not judging the kid at all, but if you think the coaches were going to do nothing about it I think you're crazy.
Fry will love this. I've taught it before. Not there though not there.I'm sure it's quite informative. However I'm not sure it's proper to recommend studies that you yourself haven't taken.
I can't believe he got just a one game suspension, thought for sure it would be 2-3.
Rieff wasn't driving a vehicle, Wirf's was.Lol I thought it would be more because Rieff got a 1 game. Even though that is what I thought would happen, that is not necessarily what I thought was fair or needed.
While Wirf's conduct was more "severe" than Reiff's, driving any vehicle intoxicated by any standard is worse than mistaking a police cruiser for an Uber, if the code of conduct does not differentiate, then the punishments have to be the same, therein lies the "consistency" of the punishment.
Just came back to correct it. Didn't realize everyone would follow!Everybody please stop calling him Riley!
I thought I read he blew over .1. No matter. While I agree a scooter isn't as bad as a car going at speed, he did have people on the back - bad judgment.Wirf was by all accounts driving a scooter. I can't see doing much damage to others on a scooter. Add to that, rumor has it that he did not even blow beyond the legal limit, the fact that he admitted that he was drinking and underage got him an OWI.....on a scooter. Good for Ferentz who displayed some commonsense.
Rieff wasn't driving a vehicle, Wirf's was.
a season suspension may not be too harsh. everyone knows by now you shouldn't drink and drive.
this is the 21st century. scooter or 4 wheeled vehicle, drunk driving needs a special carve out. and for those who don't see a scooter being as dangerous as a car or being able to cause the same kind of damage as a car: consider if wirfs had driven through a red light on his scooter and another vehicle, say a car or larger, swerved to avoid hitting him, lost control and smacked into a crowd of people. drunk driving deserves a special consideration/rule. a season suspension may not be too harsh. everyone knows by now you shouldn't drink and drive.
I hope I don't see you on here ever complaining about recruiting then, because if we did what you think all we would be recruiting are walk ons.
Kids already don't come here because we are a strict hard working program and we don't let kids get away with non sense. I can only imagine the most talented in the country would be knocking down our door knowing that 1 mistake and you can flush a season.
Wow lighten up Francis. A lot of ifs' in there, he was not drunk and he was on a scooter. Didn't happen. What if a drunk alien on a hoverboard had plowed through a red light and badly dented your car resulting in a substantial loss of resale value to your car. It could happen. Ferentz did the right thing.
again, go read some stories about some who have been killed because of a drunk driver. do you think my statement would be an over reaction to them?
