The Mayor picks off another transfer

You might want to get it right, homie. You took the 2 to 1 odds, so it is actually $250. Ummmm, yeah you probably need to get on collecting those cans now, maybe think about donating some plasma, maybe some sperm. If I had to wager on who would actually cover their bet I would take D-vogs everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. I know Vogs has a real job, you on the other hand are more than likely an unemployed 30 year old living in your mother's basement.

2:1 odds it is. Not sure how that becomes $250 though but I don't have time to go over 3rd grade math with you. Like I said, personal message me if you want a piece of it. Dean is always up at 4 a.m. I know he has a job. Probably some kind of paper route or grave yard night shift at a dead end job which would probably make sense.

Graveyard is one word. Instead of going over 3rd grade math how about 2nd grade grammar?

Are there any ISU players in the NBA at all? I know Kane and Ejiim didn't have what it took and Royce White was a complete bust, but I thought maybe they still had someone in the NBA somewhere?

Tinsley? Fizer? Vroman? Brackens? White?

Nah, right now we don't have anyone in the NBA. I'm guessing Kane and Ejim get another shot next year at a summer league, but i wouldn't put any money on them making a roster. It's hard to get guys into the league with the small rosters and teams betting on "potential" more than anything else (which makes Marble's selection even more impressive). And let's be honest, the guys we've got so far don't scream "NBA Type" bodies (apart from Royce, but we all know what happened there).

As for the Matt Thomas talk, I'm with others in taking a cautious approach to his shooting. We all hear how well he "can" shoot, it just hasn't translated to in-game performance yet. But if the rumors are true, and he can start getting into a rhythm, the big 12 better watch out (haha) :)

I just feel bad for them. Searching for anything they possibly can. We've had more draft picks in the last 20 years and it isn't even close. Their D league sensation senation Marble who led them to zero NCAA tournament games will go down in the record books though.

Please enlighten me and name every Iowa State draft pick who has played as many NBA seasons as Reggie Evans or had the success of BJ Armstrong. Side note: Jackson Vroman's stats in the Philippines don't count

Remember last year when the hawks were the sure fire tourney team and there was no way ISU could replace babb and Mcgee etc..?? They were a bubbe team at best right? How'd that work out for ya? Also, personal message me if you still want that wager on Matt Thomas transferring. I swear on everything I'm good for $100 on that. I know for a fact I won't hear from you.

Ummm, the Hawks were the definition of a sure fire tourney team. They had the most epic of collapses at the end of the season, and still made the NCAA tournament....that is the definition of "sure fire".

I'm not gonna bet on Thomas, as one, I don't care if he stays or goes, and two I don't really think he is going anywhere. He knows what he is (not good) and won't get time on any other teams, so he will probably sit and watch the next group of transfers pass him by yet again.

As far as being a bubble team last year ISU certainly wasn't. Yet I'm not going around banging my chest trying to brag on a bad prediction like you. Where have you seen me post something like you did about Thomas about my missed prediction??? At the same time you won't quit banging Natty Ice's drum, like one game means he's a good player, an elite shooter, and a consistent scorer (all things you have claimed) Plus I would need about a half dozen more stupid azz predictions to add up to the crap you have strewn about this site:

-ISU football has "closed the gap" with Iowa, and would consistently win at least 6 games a year (then they went on to win 3 then 2 games)
-Rodney Coe was going to be a dominate DL man
-Carl Davis wasn't that good, and not nearly as good at Coe. I mean Davis had been in the Iowa program for 3 years, and had shown nothing according to you.
-Matt Thomas was gonna be a "consistent scorer" from day one in his ISU career
-Matt Thomas was an "elite" high school shooter (at 36% LOL)
-Niang was gonna Avg. 18-20 PPG

I can't remember exactly what you said, but you said SDW was a top 125 kid and gonna be a stud, and that Custer was gonna come in and be a player as well (jury still out on Custer).

I guess we will just have to get used to you coming around bragging on Thomas and bumping this thread when he actually plays like a legit D1 player. The good news it will be about twice a season.....

BJ Armstrong?? Haha oh boy here we go bringing up players who were in college 30 years ago. Jeff Hornacek had double the points and assists of your main man Armstrong. Evans was an elite rebounder he did nothing else. He was a specialist in the NBA. By no means the best rebounder in the game. Hoiberg, another specialist, was the best three point shooter in the game before his career was cut short by heart problems.

Wow I am under your skin! How jealous are you of the bball program over in Ames right now? I understand...

Hahahahah wow that is hilarious! It is called a smart phone get a life.

Funny I'm using a smartphone (again... one word) and I managed to spell it correctly. I feel bad for your phone. Do you always blame your lack of intelligence on it?

I believe in calling out idiot trolls, not ignoring them. I see that pointing out your own words means you are under my skin.....LOLOLOL......Don't be mad at me for showing your ignorance to the masses.

Oh, come on back again when Natty Ice has another good game. Should be sometime around Nov. or so when they are playing some DII school.

You said he was the next transfer out the door. You wrote several messages on this debate. Now you don't care. Seems about right. Looking forward to your hawks coming to Hilton next year already that is going to be hilarious! When SDW transfers Hoiberg forced him out. When Brady Ellingson transfers here soon enough it'll be because Fran kindly told him it was looking like he wasn't going to earn any playing time.

Thomas always makes me think of Ogs. Great in practice, but game time watch out!

To be fair we all make interesting predictions. I for one got in an argument with a guy in a bar in Ames telling him U has the best chance to be in the NBA of all the players on Iowa/ISU's rosters. For the record I think Jok has the second best chance.

To be honest, I think that Morris has as good a chance as Utoff or Jok. That would be about it, though.

True, but I had a few to drink and the guy wouldn't shut up about Niang. Morris is their best player. If we had a pg playing at that level that consistently we'd be a much much better team.

Monte Morris has the best chance of being drafted and it really isn't even a close 2nd. At this point I'd be surprised if he stays all four years. Hope I am wrong.

Well I do have a solid track record, as I said SDW was "out da door" as well. And yeah, you gotta be beyond delusional if you don't think Da Mayor laid it out to him that he wouldn't be seeing the court, and it would be to his "benefit" to move on. You really think 12 players willing leave a program that is building each year, and has the hottest D1 coach that is coveted by the NBA......get real dude, he pushes them out, just man up call a spade a spade and quit being a baby about it. It has clearly worked, and helped the team become better, faster, and is a huge reason they are where they are because of pushing out the weak to bring in better players.
