That is just it. Rivals sucks at ranking these 3* kids. 99% of coaches (including Fran for sure) are 100000x better at evaluating them than rivals will ever be.

Hey I missed it. When is the last time iowa won an ncaa tournament game? Go look at the list of players drafted for iowa in the past 20 years. Then look at Iowa states list. Please get back to me when you've done so.

Sdw had offers from virtually everyone. Mich. Indiana. Iowa state. Baylor. Minnesota. Fsu. Vtech. Boston college. Marble had iowa. Buffalo. Detroit. Dayton. One list is more prestigous than the other. Just a fact. Sdw was a better prospect. Marble turned out to be th e better player don't understan why you even try to refute it

Haha yup you boys keep getting in those 11 seed playoff games once every 10 years and sending those late 2nd round (meaningless) draft picks to the league every 15 years. You boys have it straight rolling over there! You rank near the bottom in the BIG with Nebraska and NW sending guys to the leaguend haven't had a conference POY since 1968!!! Almost 50 years!! Iowa was looking at Michael Edwards in Michigan. He is 6 ft 10 for the class of 2015.

So hold on here. How far back can we compare programs? 5 years, 10 years, 20 years, 50 years. Where is your cutoff, as you had better be careful, because historically Iowa is a much better BB school, and it isn't even close.

Not when comparing NBA players though, look at all the guys ISU has in the NBA right now, there's Garrett until next week and then....well I guess they won't have any after that. Looks like Fred's really turned them into an NBA factory.
Reggie Evans keeps chugging along though.

Nature of the beast in recruiting. Fred spent a lot of time on Vaughn and missed. Hawks spent a lot of time on ulis and missed. Sometime players outperform expectations sometimes they don't live up to them. Point of all this chatter being. If your can't recruit on the highest level or near the highest level you will never ever win at the highest level. Why do you think Kentucky kansas north Carolina are front runners year after year. All I'm saying is you can't be satisfied as a fan base with 3 star after 3 star fran is pulling in.

Literally could care less about much of anything that happened before 1990 or so. To compare the two programs currently is just a laugher. Fran could go ten plus years without an ncaa tournament win and might just still be the head coach there. Tells you all you need to know.

Ok, lets worry about Fred and Fran then. With all this "supreme" talent that Fred is getting, you have to be concerned that he can't put a kid in the NBA. Say what you want, be he aint gonna keep getting 4* kids if he can't get them to the NBA with his rolodex and all. Fran on the other hand has proven he can develop talent, and can get an unranked kid to the NBA.
Fred has done great so far, don't get me wrong, he is one hell of a coach. It is you that is the freaking dbag here that I'm going after, not Fred.

Fran McCaffrey has been a head coach in college basketball since 1985 and has had (correct me if I'm wrong) one player drafted with the second to last pick in the 2014 draft. Yet he has "proven" he can send players to the next level huh??

Fred sent a first rounder to the league in his first three years. Say what you will about Royce white but I can guarantee you he owes anything he still has to hoiberg. And you say there is no difference between a top 125 kid (sdw) and marble. Is there really that much difference between Diane garret and Chris babb to that of the 2nd to last draft pick in marble? If you say there is you're just a hypocrite.

I think there is a big difference between SDW and Marble. One is an NBA talent/player. What I said is that rivals can't tell the difference between them and evaluates them incorrectly a ton of the time. You seem to get excited by the rivals misevaluations.
The difference between a Garret, Babb, heck throw in Kane Vs Marble is huge as well. Those 3 are all 24/25 and can't stick in the NBA. Marble is 21 and is sticking. If you can't see the difference I don't even know why I'm wasting my time talking to you, as you don't know sh!t about BB then.

LOL what? Who were the first rounders he sent in his first three years? He turned a five star recruit into an NBA player who never scored a single point and was out of the league in less than two years, quite an accomplishment.

One might ask if marble was such a talent and his supporting cast will be better this year without him why did he never get to play in a true ncaa tournament game in his 4 years at iowa? Something doesn't add up there...is it fran then??
