I for one am enjoying ForeverIowan's posts. He can't accept the fact that Marble made Orlando's roster and has a guaranteed contract where Garrett and Babb have just gotten 10 day contracts here and there. He isn't content with ISU being the better program (which no Iowa fan is arguing), and still feels the need to act like a dbag.

Oh I can pull up plenty of threads that show otherwise. Just last year 99% of the hawk fan base was convinced Woodbury was a better player than niang. Freds strategy in recruiting wasn't working where Frans "hard work on the recruiting trail" was finally paying off. Heck even my buddy deanvogs said over and over again that iowa was the lock for the tournament and iowa was the sure fire bid. He said over and over again that iowa state lost too much fire power. "What is niang gonna beat iowa by himself?" That was my favorite!

It's funny how butthurt he is about it.

I will give it up to you for admitting iowa state is the far superior program though. Most hawk fans cant/won't just accept that fact.

Better? Yes. Far Superior? No. That is equivalent to saying the Iowa football program is far superior than the ISU football program. I get it though you have a little bit of success and the fan base gets delusional.

Bet you can't find 5 posts that say Woody is better than Niang. You tried using the drivel last year on me as well, when I never said it, and nobody ever said it. Secondly I was right about Iowa being a lock, they lost 6 of thier last 7 and still made the tournament, so that is the definition of lock. I was also right about ISU, I said they were a tourney team as soon as they signed Kane.

The fan base is completely and totally delusional. You'd think they freaking invented BB cause they made one sweet 16 in the last decade. They actualy think that makes them elite, and the minimum expectation of Clowns now is the sweet 16......It is hilarous how freaking delusional they are.

You are a moron who simply runs his mouth don't know crap about basketball!

Not at all like the Hawkeye football fan base that wins 8 games with a watered down schedule and literally thinks they are BIG & national title contenders the next year.

Right out of the shoot I said Niang was better than Woody.

I would say here is a list of the best players on the court in that game:

1) Marble
2) Niang
3) Tie: White and Ejim
4) Kane
5) Gessel
6) Woody

I predicted ISU would be 20-10 (11-7) in conference. They were 23-7, and (11-7) in conference. So 3 games off, pretty decent really.

Speaking of predictions.....

I also told him Matt Thomas would step in and be a consistent scorer from day 1

Derp.....Coe over Ott....

I'm oblivious for saying an All-American 305 pounder couldn't beat out a 240 pound true freshman Drew Ott who was STARTING for you last year?! Iowa won his services over the likes of North Dakota St, South Dakota St. and Ohio! Ha alright I'm oblivious I guess. Doyle's job is to turn 240 pounders into 300 pounders. Appears Coe was able to do that just fine. End of story.

Ummm yeah, Ogs and Olaseni are both contributing.....Palu and Gibson both gone.

Forward: So Gabriel Olaseni has been "productive" but Percy Gibson just goes unmentioned and is trash? Olaseni averaged 2.7 ppg on 10.7 mpg compared to Gibson's 4.5 ppg on 12.1 mpg?

Guard: Oglesby averaged 4.5 ppg on maybe one of the worst three point shooting percentages in the country and he is just PURE PRODUCTION. Meanwhile a solid backup point guard Bubu Palo is just trash and doesn't deserve a mention for being productive at all. Ok I see.

I guess your definition of productive is just being on the court because your team downright does not have any better options. Yeah Penn State and Nebraska had "productive" players all over the court this year. If these recruits Fran is bringing in are so productive why have you yet to finish in the top half of the Big Ten under his watch?

I am now dumber for reading your post please just don't even reply to anything I write if you put this kind of crap out there! Just flat out horrible.

And the king of all ignorant posts.........ISU is 5-14 since he posted it on 6/27/13: Oh I edited it, as it was too long to post all the stupid in it.

You know the gap has closed when Ames, Iowa is considered a tougher road game than Lincoln, NE.

You know the gap has closed when Ames, IA is considered the 2nd toughest road contest next to THE Ohio State University. The Big Ten has some pretty imposing stadiums do they not?

You know the gap has closed when Vegas has Iowa State pegged as four point pre-season favorites vs. Iowa. For those of you non-gamblers out there...I think it has been more than 15 years since ISU was last favored (that is as far back as I can remember it could be far more than that).

Hide your head in the sand all you want. If you can't see that Iowa State is know a program to be reckoned with you are fooling yourself.

Good lord the more of your old post I read, the funnier it gets:

I can gaurantee you there would be all smiles in Iowa City this December if the Hawks pulled out six victories and a bowl game this year. People would/should be dancing in the streets with a 6/7 win season. That is a pretty typical year lately in Ames. Times they are a changing just like Mr. Pollard said. What will this year be three in a row vs. Iowa and 10 of the last 15 or something like that? Just can't see it with those black and gold shades you're rocking. I'm pulling for Iowa as it is great for the state to have two competetive football programs but if you can't recognize the gap has closed drastically and it is a pretty level playing field well...not much I can say there but it has.

BHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, ISU hasn't won 6 games in the last 2 years!!!! BHAHAHAHAHAHA

So you just keep pointing out how Fred was wrong (all the time and effort to get SDW) and Fran was right (correctly evaluating talent and getting Marble)

GOT IT.

Fran didn't evaluate marble, lick did. Fran definitely did a good job getting him to reaffirm his commitment.

Jezbus christ this thread has gone to crap. I mean I get Foreverdouchy derailing it, as he is a troll, but you don't usually do those things......Lots of new coaches don't take the former coaches recruits. Marble has been on record several times saying Fran had to really pursue him to get him back as he was gone when Lick was let go.

Ahhhh, good old foreverdouchy is back. Stay on topic please. Do you think that Fred can beat Fran out for Moss' services? Only one of those two coaches has a player both drafted and on a NBA roster currently.

Yes, I would expect Fred to beat Fran for moss, but I don't know anything about the situation. I can't recall Fran beating Fred for an out of state player so far so that's basically all I am basing it off of. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see him commit to Pitt this weekend though.

What did I say that was wrong? Who else was marble looking at? With the state of the roster at the time of licks hiring of course he would take Marble don't be ridiculous.

1.) I guess a bubble team = top 10 team in the country an #3 seed. Yeah you really were "pretty close" Okay...
2.) Matt Thomas was the 6th man for a top 10 team in the country and 2nd all-time for 3 pointers made as a frosh in ISU history. Yeah how awful is he? (sarcasm).
3.) Neither Ogs or Olaseni would get significant playing time for Iowa State.
4.) You do realize Iowa State just rolled Iowa in Kinnick yet again right? Yet you claim ISU's starters can't break Iowa's 2-deep. Easiest schedule in the country stick your chest out further that Pitt game was a monster win!

I'm hoping he at least makes a visit to Iowa before deciding, but he very well could commit to Pitt this weekend.

Foreveriowan doesn't want to talk about the delusional posts he makes just like most cyfans. I'm sure today he'd tell you ISU is a lock to win 7 games next year. They've been losers for 102 straight years. There must be some kind of stupid in the water over there. I can't imagine trying to reach a high point in the program for a 6-6 regular season and to get beat down bu the likes of Tulsa. Now a great deal are expecting a final four or better this year. Truly insane. It's a home for the criminally insane.

Using reason and truth is like a foreign language to some cyfans. Normally Bryce is pretty open but new coaches always have to recruit/re-recruit.
