But he's not the consistent scorer like Matt Thomas. Maybe you could give us your expertise on football and the great job CPR is doing in football. Or are you like most cyfans who want basketball threads to be about basketball and football threads to be about basketball. Tell us how happy you are being 2-5 and having a tough sos.

Please show where I, or any other HN poster claimed that 5 PPG is a "consistent" scorer? Plus what does last year have to do with this year? If Thomas were to score 10 PPG this year, then he would be a consistent scorer, but that doesn't change the fact that you were dead azz wrong claiming that he would be a consistent scorer since day 1. You keep digging that hole and claiming that 5 PPG is a consistent scorer dude, this is funny.

ISU will not be as young as you might think. I predict Bubu Palo (senior) will be starting early in the year at PG.

First off, do yourself a favor and watch Matt's highlight video of his final high school game (posted below). Enjoy the free seminar on how to use your reputation as the best three point shooter in the country to score at will on your mid-range jumpers. How many three point shots do you see in there? Thomas is hands down regarded as the best shooter in the country. You act like he's purely a three point shooter. The kid is 6'4" 190 pounds. His all around game is pretty dang impressive. Impressive athlete.

Not happy being 2 and 5 in football. I realize iowa state can't compete with Texas baylor oklahoma okie state tcu west Virginia every single year. Hopefully we catch lightming in a bottle once in a while and can make a run. If you think Iowa is a 5 and 2 team right now with iowa states schedule well that's just a joke. I realize ISU is nowhere near the program they wish to be right now

All I ever said was state his credentials and say he is gonna be a great player for us. Finishing 2nd in 3s made for a freshman in ISU history behind jake Sullivan is pretty dang impressive. More than hoiberg. More than your boy haluska. Id say that is a pretty damn good start.

Oh and just a little fun fact of the day for you. Marble who according to you is just the best thing since sliced bread averaged 5.7 as a freshman for one of the worst teams in the league. Thomas averaged 5.5 for a top ten team in the nation. I'd say he is off to a solid start.

Haha well i guess we'll just agree to disagree. I'd say Monte Morris and Naz long were consistent scorers for us last year they averaged 7 per. Matt was a consistent scorer. Fact of the matter is you can't accept the fact iowa state is the superior program. I can just feel your frustration building up. Maybe one of these days old fran will lead his squad to a tournament game...just maybe.

Hahaha I'm sure iowa would have just downright manhandled north Dakota state. Pretty hilarious a fan base ragging on a team that just came into their stadium and beat them a month ago. Both teams are pretty dang bad to be completely honest so go nuts bragging about iowa football I just think it's funny. If iowa played in the big 12 they would be battling it out with ISU kansas and Texas Tech as cellar dwellars. Both teams are bad. Bottom line.

ISU was the easiest game on the schedule for Iowa, but Iowa always loses a game or two each year to pathertic teams. Plus it is the Clowns #SuperBowl. I'm not sure why Clown fans don't get more ticked off about this, cause if they could actually get up for any other games, they could beat NDSU, they could beat a terrible Texas team. Mabye if the football team opened camp with tackling dummies with Big12 teams jersey's they could win more than 3 games in conference.
