Pretty hollow for Ferentz to say that leaving with a degree is a priority when Iowa is the worst in the B1G. Make all the excuses you want but Iowa is no different than any other school in that regard, probably even should be better than most.

Caught that to.

Also, I didn't think it was the best move to mention he hasn't really read the criticisms. If true, it is bad that he has not. Makes him sound tone deaf.

Investigations do take time. It is not like you can investigate yourself and produce your own report. There has to be some independence to it, so we need time and I am sure there will be a day in the coming weeks where there will be much more in terms of findings/changes.

Oh 100% agree, also, not gonna lie, with Covid....the budget's tight .... if they can find a way to fire CD with cause they are gonna... I am sure he has years left on his deal.

Aren't the kids supposed to speak for themselves?????????

What culture are you living in. We have someone in the Oval Office that is the TV culture. He doesn't read briefing documents, he sits around watching TV. Everything he does is geared around how it plays on TV.

I'm just saying...if the sports world is watching...and they are...I'd polish it up a bit. You don't tell them what to say...you tell them how to say it.

I think the winter mask robbing a bank question is the least damning statement to the player. Hell, I've had that asked to me as a joke many times over the years when wearing one. Many white guys have.

I don't believe it is right to assume the intent of the coach saying it is to bridge the individuals race or skin color with robbing a bank. Nobody but that coach knows the true intent when stating that. He could have easily said the same thing to AJ. Epenesa.

People hearing what was said are making the decision it was racist which is very dangerous in our society. In fact, if that is the case, we've pretty much lost our society and the ability to live among each other.

To change is danger. To do nothing even more so. This was a step backwards.

The players want the fans to support them. They are Iowa Hawkeyes, the fans are Iowa Hawkeye fans. It makes total sense right? The black players on this team have felt they were mistreated. Black people in our country feel like they have been mistreated. They want the fans to have their backs. I personally do, if ya don't, like KM said, there's the door.
So if a fan would disagree with a statement or position of a player or players they should not follow the team, leave?

I thought we were into "inclusion" and not "exclusion?" All opinions matter! Kneeling or not kneeling matters! All lives matter!

And yes, we all want law enforcement to treat everyone fairly.

Yes, according to the players, you are either with them or you are not. I didn't make the statement, but it was fairly clear. Don't be an Iowa fan if you aren't with them or support them and their right to speak their voice and peacefully protest how they see fit.

EXACTLY

Meanwhile in Texas - their players are starting to tweet about movement on their campus. I told ya'll .... Iowa is just gonna be first here.

Are you watching anything else? It is all about each person having their own voice.

Correct. I don't think any school allowed players to kneel last year. I know some don't even come out before the anthem is played.

Kaevon is doing "stupid talk." Hopefully the coaches can mentor him a bit.

Chris's incentive to settle would be to avoid much more coming out. Iowa's is to just have him go away and look to the future. Both sides have an interest in settling it fairly quickly. Some donor might step up and kick in the $ to cover it. Pretty sure a family coincidentally made a large donation right after the Jane Meyer deal.
