Ahhh. Since we're bringing up history..... Iowa State is the ONLY team in NCAA history that has earned a #2 seed and lost in the first round AND earned a #3 seed and lost in the first round. No other team in all the years of the NCAA basketball tournament (men's or women's) has managed to "accomplish" this.

Proof that the media who votes on such things believes that blocking shots is all there is to defense. McKay is a good shot blocker, but that does NOT make him a good defender.

Yep ISU got embarassed upsets happen. It was a brutal loss to stomach. Sit and wait for next year. We should be a top ten preseason team. Iowa will be more than satisfied just to make the tournament. So what kept you away after UAB beat ISU. You were here constantly before the game and after the loss you're nowhere to be found for several days. Let me guess, you were tending to a sick relative or maybe you were in jail after you got so drunk after the loss and you beat up an 8 year old girl.

ISU was a 3 seed the past two years which means they were around 8-12 best team in the country. I think everyone can agree they will be very good next year Id imagine a top 3 seed yet again And top ten program three years in a row. Iowa football was considered pretty elite heck even Grandpa referred to these bowl games earlier. Similar success for ISU bball and not considered elite? I don't know somewhat fair comparison..no?

To be fair, making the Sweet Sixteen as a 3 seed while losing arguably your best player and going down to the national champ by 5 points seems like a good year. I got nothing for this year however.
 
Who cares about back to back 3 seeds, I mean what did u do with that 3 seed and an easy path to the Seeet 16? For instance ISU fans will tell you that Baylor and Scott Drew are both jokes/pretenders/awful. Yet in the last 5 years Drew has 2 sweet16's and a Elite 8.....and ISU fan thinks they are on a higher level....LOLOLOL

Who cares about 3 seeds or higher?? Ha ha clearly not Iowa. They've only had a 3 seed or higher three times since they've been seeding the torunament. 1981, 1987, and 2006. I can almost promise you you've only lived through one of those. Iowa State is about to get three in a row. If that doesn't highlight what a joke of a program Iowa is I don't know why does. it's taken Iowa bball 34 years to accomplish what ISU will do in three consecutive seasons. crap now that is hilarious!
