If you want to talk BB history, you are out of your depth, as Iowa's BB history is 10x greater than da Clowns.

No BB program has done less with more than ISU. Da Clowns are the kings of underachieving in the conference that is inept, and overrated. Teams like Baylor have accomplished more than da Clowns. A Oklahoma and WVU proved to be vastly superior to da Clowns, and obviously Kansas is the best of the inept conference.

Once again the only time you talk about history is when you decide the dates....before it was 34 years, now it is 15 years, lets talk about recent history. In the past year, Iowa has more NCAA wins than ISU. In the past year UAB has more NCAA wins that ISU, and they were freaking 15-15 at one point this season.....HAHAHAHAHA.....

3 seed means nothing when you play in a sucky league and then go on to lose to THE WORST TEAM IN THE TOURNAMENT.

never in the history of the NCAA tournament has one conference had so many teams "over seeded". You would think the tournament committee would figure it out one of these years. (Big 12 sucks really bad)

Got to be tough on the Big 12 fans who only get to watch 1/2 of the tournament every year if they want to watch Big 12 teams.

Random thoughts...
It's great to be a Hawkeye. I have witnessed the Hawkeye BB team in the Final four, an Elite 8 and multiple Sweet 16s. They have spent time as #1 in the polls and have actually played in an NCAA title game. Iowa has played in 3 Rose Bowls and two Orange Bowls. I attended 3 of those games. The football team has finished in the top 8 in country, multiple times. The football team also has spent time at the #1 spot in the polls. I can't even remember how many National Wrestling titles I have had the pleasure to enjoy. Maybe 20 or more. Too many to remember, I guess. I was going to bring up baseball but that would not be fair as some of the lesser universities can't afford to field a team.

61-16 Iowa All time record against ISU in Wrestling
21-18 Iowa All time record against ISU in women's Basketball

This is an honest question: at what point does history stop being relevant? Iowa has a big lead all time in basketball. But Iowa started out 17-1... all before 1920. In my lifetime, the achievement of both programs is pretty dang similar.

It will never stop being relevant. It's usually the first thing someone will throw out there when an ISU fan points out the record over a 7 year or 13 year span or whatever snippet looks best at that point in time. I'm sure if Iowa went on a little streak, Iowa fans would do the same but the overall record vs each other will always be there.
