ISU point guard to transfer

Keep telling yourself this if you like. I mean ties to the school is certainly why Fred pursued Vaughn last year and Diallo this year.....

HS recruiting is irralavant and unnecessary to Fred. He has a pattern now. Go after one 5* HS kid and fill the rest up with transfer. It is working, I don't know why ISU fan has to pretend it is different than that

Otz is back and now ISU is reconsidering a Wisconsin prep 1 day later. IMO you are incorrect.

I'm not saying it's a good or bad thing. I'd prefer them not go the Noskowiak route but it certainly appears TJ has influence on who they recruit.

It just means that Freddie struck out on the Loyola transfer that you wanted....

Apparently he is on campus now so it seems to be jumping the gun as bit here.

It is a dead period. Can't offer him now. You'd know more about the ins and outs of it is though.

Seemed like a kid who really loved ISU, almost feel bad for him getting his scholarship yanked like this but you had to see it coming.

Yeah this couldn't be further from the truth. Hoiberg already had 2 open scholarships. Thanks for playing.

Playing what? I told you Custer was going to be moving on back in January, not my fault that you don't like to hear the truth. We'll see how ISU's recruiting changes now that the bag man has moved on.

You gotta move quickly with predictions on who is gone next on the ISU roster, I mean Freddie moves fast. I don't think even you thought they would lose Williams before he even got to lAmes.

Why would Hoiberg possibly push out his only other PG (and a backup if Monte gets hurt) especially with open schollies? the kid left on his own. He was not pushed out. He had an unfortunate bout with mono to start the year and it was tough for him to come back and find minutes. Didn't mean Hoiberg wouldn't have used him more next year.

Freddie wants Custer to move on for the same reason he has shown others the door. After watching him everyday in practice Freddie know now that the kid just isn't good enough to cut it. So being that he is a smart dude, he trims the fat and goes after the next one. Freddie has always tried to upgrade the roster at all times, by recruiting over kids, and by encouraging kids to move on. Not sure why this makes ISU fans mad, it is working for him.

Because he watched him practice for a year and realized this kid sucks and he'd rather play Monte 38+ mins or let Naz run the point than ever put him on the floor, and that having an open scholarship is a better option than having to burn one on an unproductive player like Custer who he has absolutely no confidence in for the next three years. Pretty obvious really.
