Iowa St. is still Iowa St.

I think Nebraska fans may be drifting a little closer to reality. (well, some of them). The pressure to win 10 games by year 3 is probably in the rear window.
You would think so but that's part of the reason why they are where they are now. Expectations is what differenciates programs as much as anything. It's Frosts job I'll bet now with the coaching wheel spinning the way it has. How fast they turn around will depend on if he can get a mobile QB and how good of one he can get.

Clown fan upset they didn't call a Pass interference! It's a conspiracy!
It's a semi-annual convention. I think you are forgetting he has one for football AND basketball.

Oh, that's right. The NCAA also has a grand conspiracy against ISU as well. LOL, I can't make up the stupid that runs rampant in the Clown fan base. The refs didn't call a P.I penalty, and to Clown fan that proves yet another grand conspiracy by the Big12 against them!!!

The conspiracy talk is absurd. Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

Really tough on there. I was legit bummed and angry after the game.

As to whether 7-5 is good for ISU, obviously it is. It's an expectations game. Talk on this board would have put 7-5 for ISU before the season as straight crazy talk. If you would have told me ISU would play 4 QB's due to injury this year I would have thought we'd be looking at a 3 win season.

BryceC you've had a very good year and maybe if you have a few more strung together your fans will stop with all the weirdness. Losers usually have that mentality. Congrats on the success this year.

Fans are always weird, and ISU fans are especially weird when it comes to KSU. 10 in a row for the wildcats now. Just brutal.

For the record that officiating crew was horrible the whole game. Missed multiple false starts (how often do you see that?), really weird holding calls, the spotting of the ball was totally off all game, etc. It was just a mess from start to finish and the fact that they picked up 3 flags on one drive shouldn't have been surprising at that point.

The fact is though that was PI, and ISU should have won the game, and they picked up the flag. That is going to leave fans with a bad taste in their mouth regardless.

To be fair, as I was watching it I thought it was insane that the refs picked up so many flags. It was almost like they didn't want the game to be decided by a penalty so they kept picking the flags up. If you throw a flag...its supposed to mean you SAW something illegal...not that you thought something illegal might have happened and you wanted to discuss it with the other officials. I don't know how pass interference can be overruled by another official unless it was a tipped ball.

However, that's the only leeway I'd give Iowa State. Campbell flat out blew that game by their ridiculous play calling at the end there. RUN THE BALL, RUN THE CLOCK, FORCE THEM TO CALL TIMEOUTS. Its not even "Football 101" its more like "Football for Morons"

To say the game was "fixed" is a special kind of stupid. Kansas State didn't even cover the spread by winning so that theory doesn't really hold water. Plus, if the game was truly fixed the refs never would have allowed the game to get to the point where a last second drive decided the outcome. It would have been decided way way way way way before that

I thought it was questionable PI. Probably PI but could have easily been a no-call. The fact that he threw the flag meant it had to be called.

I think every fan base would be super pissed about that call. The thing is Clown fans just gotta Clown and say a bad call is a conspiracy. The truely amazing thing is a very high proportion of Clown fans really truely believe this. Heck @IAST8SGR8 It isn’t just the Big12 out to get them, he claims that the NCAA is also out to screw ISU as well.

Just wait until Iowa State faces Notre Dame in their bowl game if the projection becomes concrete!

Pulled that one straight out of your ass.

Are you saying dean’s ass and cyclone fanatic are synonymous ?
I just can't figure out where he conjured up me saying it's a conspiracy with the ncaa. That comment about Pollard was a joke, sarcasm. I guess the rumors are true, you guys aren't funny and don't get sarcasm, at all.

You clowns are very funny though.

Didn't the officials overrule a PI on Josh Jackson at Nebraska, calling it entanglement of the feet with Morgan, or did they not call that PI? I can't recall now. I know the Nebraska fans were upset after that play, I don't remember because they thought it was PI and not called, or it was called and then waved off.

On the conspiracy front, I like the DMR reporter, Randy Peterson; he was quite objective about the officiating. I mean, he even wrote that Alan Lazard said he thought it was PI, and if Alan Lazard said it's a PI, then it must be a PI, because Alan Lazard wouldn't say it unless it was PI. That's some big time reporting right there. I mean, it's well known that Big 12 officials hate ISU, and never would have taken away those penalties if it was Oklahoma or Okie State.

I didn't watch their game, but it does seem like the officiating was pretty poor after reading articles from several sources. I'm sure they have a legitimate beef on the officiating being poor. There is no conspiracy against ISU though.

I see Campbell has been signed long term. That's a good signing for them. However, I want to see what he can do once the best players on their team (all recruited by Rhoades) are gone. Lazard, Butler, Montgomery, Harvey, Good-Jones, Cotton-Moya, Campos, etc.

Everyone seems to love the Campbell extension. I don't really understand it....kinda think its a knee-jerk reaction IMO. He's 10-14 in his 2 years at ISU and they gave him a $1.4M raise? $3.5M a year for 6 years?

That puts him in the top-30 of highest paid college coaches. More than Pat Fitzgerald, Brohm, Paul Chryst, Bill Snyder, Mike Leach, Will Muschamp. And for what? Because he beat TCU and Oklahoma and went to a bowl game with a 7-5 record one season?

JP: "Hey, Gary...it's Jamie".
GB: "What up J-dog? Manhattan is a beatch this time of year, eh? ...he he he"
JP: "What ever. BTW, How was Senior day in Iowa City?".
GB: "Oh f..."
JP: "Hey...Gar...I just called for a little advice. I'm thinking about a contract extension for my boy Matty."
GP: "Yeah, 7-5...Wow, better lock him up as fast as you can. Gonna take some real $$ though...how are hog futures this week?"

...somebody more clever than I can take it from here.....
