I Like Tim Tebow

Nothing better than the original post talking about someone being genuine, self-less, etc....and then lace it with a bunch of "F" bombs! Classic Duff. I have always liked Tebow, so **** you!

LMAO!
"Tebow can stick his virgin wang in my ******* mashed potatoes any ******* time he wants!!"

I'll ask it again, does Tebow control the TV attention he gets? No

So if you want to be ticked off, be ticked off with the TV networks. The hate at Tebow is laughably misguided.

I just find it odd that Tebow goes directly against God's teachings:

“When you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, forthey love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in thecorners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Mostcertainly, I tell you, they have received their reward. But you, when you pray, enter into your innerchamber, and having shut your door, pray toyour Father who is in secret, and your Fatherwho sees in secret will reward you openly."

Explain the context of that verse and to whom Jesus was speaking of.

Sidestep.
Answer the question, slick. How would you feel about an individual that signified his atheism every time he was in front of a camera, and including wearing eyeblack with "I'm an atheist" written on it?
Would the act grow tiresome very quickly? Would you find it annoying that he kept shoving his atheism in your face? Would you be sickened by a slathering media that constantly applauded this guy's displays of overt atheism?

I personally wouldn't.

You're all proving my point when I say that all topics with the word "Tebow" in the title should be moved to the P/C forum. Every week is getting ridiculous. At some point, you have to acknowledge that this isn't about Tebow any more. It's about you.

FTW

Still waiting for responses to this question:
How would you feel about tebow if he was an atheist and exhibited the same zeal for atheism as he does for his chosen faith?

Anyone? Mr. Mashed Potatoes?? Colorado guy??

That's on the TV networks. It's not on the person.

No but the circus that follows him around does. BTW Jon i think your right about us watching his career apex right now.

I don't hate Tebow at all. Not one bit.

I don't get the love from people who think he's a great QB. He's not. He's ok. He's a great leader, passionate about life and football. He's just not that great of a player.

AGAIN Jon, I respond to this saying that a true Christian would see the commotion it was causing and stop what he is doing. I am sure whatever he is saying to his God could wait until he at least got into his locker room.

Thanks for finding that...It doesn't say much about who TT will become and it doesn't say much about who JE became, but it does show a lot about what TT can/has done in a short time. several games of which were in a playbook scheme that was completely uncompatable with strengths and tendencies.

Really?

Really?

Just like Jesus wouldn't have tossed tables outside the temples, because of the commotion it would cause, because of the conflict of 'faiths' it created...

And about 1000 more examples that come to mind.

Again I say; the anger or irritation 'Tim Tebow' is causing has nothing to do with Tebow and everything to do with the individuals responding to it and how they see the world (and a few other things). Which is OK...but the true target of your angst should be a number of different entities and none of them Tim Tebow.

Tebow is hardly the first athlete to pray before during and after sporting events. He's just received the most focus, and that's not his decision to point the cameras on him. I am sure the TV networks have a TV cam at all time during his games. I would guarantee it.

The kid is still a 20 something year old competitor. Just like most, they see what they are challenged to do and try to prove to most that they are capable of continuing to do it that way because it works. He is comfortable to show his emotions anyway he sees fit. How is that different or worse than a "sack dance" in someones face that says I got in your way?

I think Elway's team went 9-7 in his first season.

I ment the records of the teams they played against not the records of there teams.. Sorry.

Tebow has played one good team this year and they made him look like a joke and even called him a joke after the game. Oakland was playing good before they lost a ton of good players. The Jet, Chiefs, and Fins are awful.

Stop using "hate" JD. You know it isn't hate. :(
People who question the glaring double standard aren't "haters", they're just not comfortable with one single chosen faith being touted as THE ONE. This country was founded on freedom of religion (which includes the freedom to choose to NOT be religioous), and those of us who aren't in line with how tebow was indoctrinated are tired of it. Why do we have to bite our tongues while he's held up as some sort of super hero, in large part because of his amped up religious position??
I get that you think tebow has no agenda and that "tv is to blame!" for the incessant biased coverage, but I'm sorry I think that's a cop-out. He's being covered so much because he's very polarizing, and the reason he is polarizing is because he's #1 god-squad guy.

I have to laugh at the people saying "he just wins".
I went off on a tangent this morning on Twitter over this sort of logic.

Craig Krenzel is one of the greatest QBs of all-time. HE. JUST. WINS. GAMES. #TebowLogic
Scott Frost is one of the greatest QBs of all-time. HE. JUST. WINS. GAMES. #TebowLogic
Matt Mauck is one of the greatest QBs of all-time. HE. JUST. WINS. GAMES. #TebowLogic
Dan Marino is one of the worst QBs of all-time. HE. JUST. DOESN'T. WIN. GAMES. #TebowLogic
Warren Moon is one of the worst QBs of all-time. HE. JUST. DOESN'T. WIN. GAMES. #TebowLogic
Dan Fouts is one of the worst QBs of all-time. HE. JUST. DOESN'T. WIN. GAMES. #TebowLogic
Boomer Esiason is one of the worst QBs of all-time. HE. JUST. DOESN'T. WIN. GAMES. #TebowLogic

Silly.
