I Like Tim Tebow

Good grief folks, did any of you actually watch the game? Outside that final drive Tebow looked AWFUL, he has to be one of the worst QBs I have ever seen play the position. Wide receivers were diving everywhere trying to catch his passes as he was throwing them into the ground.

As far as all that kneeling and praying he is doing, it is a big show. I think it is pathetic he takes every chance to kneel like he is praying every time the cameras are on him. Hopefully God has better things to do than help Tebow win football games.

Funny thing I saw at the end of the Broncos game last night..20 or so players from both teams were kneeling on the field together, praying, and Tim Tebow didn't organize it or lead it...in fact, he was late getting there.

Another observation; that's being going on for a LOOOONG time in sports.

If tebow was a devout and publicly-worshipping Muslim, he'd be in the CFL at best. Most likely, he'd be running a small mosque in Florida.
So many 'mericans love 'em some look-at-me christians, especially the buff white ones. Makes 'em feel like they're part of some kewl club.

I have witnessed a number of players praying in all different sports at different levels but not to this extent. Tebow is making a spectacle of himself and he is getting his prayers answered in the form of publicity and millions in endorsements.

Perhaps, but I have little doubt that this has nothing to do with why he does it. In fact I'm convinced he'd be doing the same thing even if it cost him opportunities. Why rag on the guy because companies find his image appealing.

:D:D:D:D:D:DKeep it up. You're making my day!:D:D:D:D:D

Thank you! My sarcasm meter went off a long time ago. This forum drives me nuts with all the attention seekers that are on here. But the problem is people are actually buying into this Tebow crap. Tebow is a smart man, his signature kneel is going to pay off handsomely for him.

Tell that to Abdul Hodge.

Kareem Abdul Jabbar was pretty popular, he even got some movie gigs.

I once heard about a cat named Muhamad Ali.

During his very, very public conversion, he was despised and that had a lot to do with Vietnam and the political stance he took.

However, he went on to be the most recognizable face on the planet, and one of the most revered figures in the history of sport.

C'mon guys, you can do better. None of those people were even remotely in situations like tebow, nor did/do they behave like him.
tebow is the pin-up for the religious right whiteys in this country, and "by god" they're going to see to it that he remains front & center.

. Tebow is a smart man, his signature kneel is going to pay off handsomely for his benefactors.

fixed it for you...
Which is the deadly sin you fear most? Envy, greed, or sloth? Is it Because TT originated his prayer style of thanks, that is BTW, done off on the sidelines. How much donation and/or volunteer work do you do for third world countries and/or underprivileged? How do you personally use your day to day skills and platform to live to the best of your ability and still benefit others?

I've never understood your complete disdain for Christianity, and in this particular case it's making you look like a complete and total nut job.

That's the thing about Tebow...no one has been in this position.

Tebow exhibited the same faith, leadership, service, etc, before he went to Florida. It's one of the reasons he was intriguing as a high school junior prospect when I interviewed him in San Antonio in January of 2005.

All of the media guys that were there were like 'Have you talked to that Tebow guy? Is he legit?" and they were not referring to his skill. They were referring to his manners, what he said and getting to know his back story.

Six years later and after a Heisman and a National Title, Tim Tebow is still the same guy.

If you want to hate, hate the media for focusing on it, for showing kneeling cut a ways every other play...Tebow isn't saying look at me nor has he, ever.

This isn't a Tim Tebow problem, its a you problem (collectively speaking to those who are tired of him). He isn't the TV director.

Actually I never really cared what he, or others like him did [fist pumpimg/sky pointing/Evander Holyfield comes to mind] to so much as comment on it. It seems to me those that are bringing the most light to Tim Tebow and his beliefs are those that fear their own thoughts aand beliefs first, or second, are envious of someone that uses their talents to bring light to a greater cause or belief. I don't know TT, but I'm pretty sure he could careless what others think of his faith and beliefs. He seems pretty comfortable in his own skin to me.

I disagree, someone that had a true heart would see the commotion it was creating and stop doing it.

Coming from you, this is a high compliment.

I missed the part where Kareem and Ali made public spectacles of their religion for all to see every chance they got. Maybe I'm too young to remember.

How would you feel about tebow if he was an atheist and exhibited the same zeal for atheism as he does for his chosen faith?
