didn't read the 'couple lawyers' piece, but did see the BHGP piece and the comments underneath. i don't know if there is a coach who has entered a job with lower fan fare than steveo.
I just spent some time on the site searching and couldn't find it either. Link please?what is the title of the article you are referencing? i don't see it.

I got a kick out of the awkward silence after that answer.

(When I said 'a couple lawyers' I was referring to Bruingirl83's post and some other lawyers in the comment section. I wasn't very clear there.)
Here's the link to the guest blog from BHGP: So You've Hired A Steve Alford - Bruins Nation
This lady (Bruingirl83) spent 15 years as an Assistant DA and decided to google search the case after reading the guest blog from BHGP.: No Leadership By Guerrero Leads To No Integrity For Our Program - Bruins Nation
Here is another post reacting to Alford's response to a question about the PP case during his introductory press conference: Alford Shows No Remorse & Takes No Responsibility for His Past Actions in Iowa - Bruins Nation
Judging by the comments in several articles over there, I'd say about 70% of the fans on that site want him gone now. Not sure about other UCLA sites.
wow, that was weak sauce. and yes, awkward silence. i followed everything i was told to do. i'm a follower, not a leader.
Some UCLA fans get it : Bruins Nation, a UCLA Bruins community
A couple lawyers on that site did some research into Alford's actions during the PP saga and posted their findings. Most on that site already want him gone.
thanks - i think 70% too low. i said earlier, but i can't imagine a worse start for a coach anywhere, let alone UCLA. he'll need to win early and often.
If the pressure heats up more and is never-ending over the summer, do you think Alford might bail out of this gig before October this year? If so, what happens to him then? To Minnesota?
I think most of the hate from middle aged men for Alford stems from the fact that most of your wives wanted to have an affair with him. Its alright Sioux, Stevie wouldnt have gone for your heifer.
He is stuck and UCLA is stuck. My god, even a LITTLE contrition could have neutered this.
How could SA and DG not anticipate this, after the Bernstein article, and prepare a solid answer? PR malpractice.
And yes, the anger towards Guerrero is white-hot right now. It had been simmering for awhile, around transparency issues, clumsy football and basketball search processes, relations with UC administration/regents etc. but this has just blown it open.
Oh well, nothing a Final Four won't solve...
