Are you serious? Lick inherited (from Alford) a mess. Was he able to handle it? No. But it wasn't Lick's fault. It was SA's fault for leaving the cupboard bare.

Lick was a bad hire that just made things worse. If you should fault anybody, it should be Barta, who may have saved himself by hiring Fran.

Like someone posted in this or one of the other Alford threads: Lick was the nerdy kid that always got picked on. Even though he failed, it's difficult to hate him. Alford was the successful athlete who had absolutely no other redeeming qualities. Very easy to hate.
