Well, there's always next year.....Freakin' drives me absolutely effin crazy about this team.....Can we just get someone in there that throws the ball in an area where the other team cannot hit the ball, or has some smoke that throws it right past them? 5 GD runs in the 9th for Christ's sake......

Anyone notice how no one ever see Theo any more he seems totally cool with letting Renteria and Ricketts take the fall for this awful baseball. My current state assessment for the Cubs. They have about 4 or 5 big league pieces on the club right now, no bull pen, and the farm system is good but it wont be coming in to save this team any time in the next 3 years. Theo is saying the farm system will do that and the Cubs are spending no money and losing fan support faster than any team I have ever seen. Like this is a mess! and they are blowing so much smoke up a**es right now it is rediculious. The Cubs literally have no hope right now or in the relevant future.

Theo will supposedly have some money to work with in a couple of years around the time the prospects should be ready. He has stated several times the plan is to bring solid vetran players in so the younger players aren't relied on to carry the team themselves.... we'll see if that actually happens.
Honestly, what has James Russell ever done in his 3 years? The guy is throwing cheese up there. He has one job, to get left handed batters out but can't. There has to be a lefty specialist somewhere out there better than him.
The Cubs did make a big offer to Tanaka, 2nd place I believe. So they are willing to spend just not be ridiculous about it knowing they aren't close yet. Free agents aren't likely to sign here until we have a few pieces anyway.

Yeah, an ERA something to the tune of 1.50 and an 0-2 record... I'd be pretty frustrated, too. The guy is pitching the lights out and getting nothing to show for it.

Totally agree. That was pretty silly to just toss that in the trash. There's a lot of places they could of given that to and would of been happy to have received it. Guess when you have a lot of $$$$$$$ you Don't give a poop about things like that.

You are going to give a cake that has been sitting under glass in direct sunlight to the homeless shelter? Most of it was inedible there would have been health risks to serve it to them what little part of the cake was actually cake.

Can't complain today. Great job Cubbies! First time in Cubs history they had a six pitcher shutout in 9 innings. Finally broke the series loading streak. Good job.
