I went to the local high school track to go walk near my home today. Every entrance to the track had a padlock on it, so the school must not want people on the track for social distancing. Funny thing is, there were five people on the track working out, they must have jumped the fence.

I just saw an announcement that the PGA has donated food already ordered for the past couple of cancelled tournaments to local food banks and the public. Every type of helpful thing is needed.

Nothing like cherry-picking information to fit a narrative. What the CDC said was that they have instructed officials to report deaths where the patient has tested positive or, in an absence of testing, "if the circumstances are compelling within a reasonable degree of certainty."
Why are they saying this? Because there are many deaths described as influenza or pneumonia where tests are not available. The rate of death suggests that there is more going on than the historical rate from influenza and pneumonia. This is happening in rural areas again, due to the lack of testing.
I see a lot of posts that suggest officials are somehow trying to inflate the Covid-19 deaths. The exact opposite is likely true.

"NEW YORK (AP) — A tiger at the Bronx Zoo has tested positive for the new coronavirus, in what is believed to be the first known infection in an animal in the U.S. or a tiger anywhere, federal officials and the zoo said Sunday.

The 4-year-old Malayan tiger named Nadia, and six other tigers and lions that have also fallen ill, are believed to have been infected by a zoo employee who wasn't yet showing symptoms, the zoo said. The first animal started showing symptoms March 27, and all are doing well and expected to recover, said the zoo, which has been closed to the public since March 16 amid the surging coronavirus outbreak in New York."

We have so few cases here in MN so far. Equivalent to about 1/8 the size of our small town total.
And that includes the TC metro. I know IC nurses at Mayo who got sent home for lack of things to do since all elective procedures were cancelled to get ready for the 'big one'.

The US has 5.5 times more people. I fully expect there will be more deaths in the US when this has passed. Right now they have no idea what the death/mortality rate is. They have guesses, but they don’t have any certainty. The question will be once they have a handle on that, what will be considered to be an acceptable rate in order to get back to “normal”. We accept .01% for the flu. Where will we draw the line? .02, .05, .1? Where would you draw the line? That will be the real test. Rest assured, there will be plenty of critics out there, whatever they do. Too early/too late/too high/too low. If I was the administration, I’d start educating the general public on this so when the time comes to make a decision, the public will be ready for it. That will be the more difficult decision unless it proves out to be under the flu rate (for which Trump will also be criticized).

Again, I don't think the mortality rate really matters that much. What matters is how many are in the hospital and how many are dying. If we try to just power through it, what if we get halfway through and it gets so bad that people are afraid to leave the house? That includes truck driver, grocery store employees, and health care workers. If people are forced to die in their homes because there is no one to take care of them, it gets ugly real fast. If essential workers all get so scared by what's going on they decide to quit working, our economy still ends up tanking, but it takes our way of life with it. It would turn to total anarchy. I'm not saying it would get that bad. I'm just saying it easily could. The way they are doing it now lowers the floor on deaths and economy.

wow that is bad when the virus goes to a feline. What are there maybe 1 billion cats in the US, yes cats as in felines. Let's hope this doesnt spread like crazy in other animals.

I read last week that a house cat (I think it was in Belgium, no it was Dr Evil's cat) but, that house cat tested for the virus as well.

Any of those Mayo nurses going to NYC?

NBC news showed EMTs and Fire first responders using a 15 minute covid screening test from China.

A quick test in numbers of 100s of millions or billions would be great.

It it gets bad enough I will put a mask on and work at a grocery store to gather basics for people. Buyers dont necessarily have to go in the store if it comes to that. Food stores may have to go to just the main staples and do all transactions by credit car like a drive up pharmacy. But most people can go many, many days without food but as long as our water supplies are good that is really important.

A lot of delivery truck drivers do not have to get very close to the people loading or unloading their trailers or even with a dispatcher.

Before the university got wise the track at UW Platteville had a spot where you could crawl under the fence.

Lee Fierro who was in the movie JAWS died from the Coronavirus. She played the mother who's son was killed by the shark while on the raft.

This is for TK. Thought you would enjoy it. This guy is not as obnoxious as Alex Jones and not as inflammatory as Candace, but it will explain what you need to know. After the commercial, it starts around 2:30.

I think Q is Trump or an insider to Trump. The Deep State is trying to take over but Trump will win the day as the Deep State heads will get arrested for child trafficking. This guy has been talking about the DEEP STATE since the Great Recession and he's all excited that the DEEP STATE is going down in just a few days.

It's kind of entertaining. Right up your alley.. Btw, Little League will be played.
