Ya just never know is right... Did anyone see Sandfort going to Neb? Maybe someone did but that came out of left field to me. When I'd seen that he was at Bens press conference I figured he was staying like Koch was. So with how kids can bounce around every yr ya just don't know. You never know if he'll be there for four years in the current environment. I wish the kid the best but you never know if he might be available down the line.
Pryce got over a million - he wasn't getting close to that here.Nebraska must have ponied up the buckaroos. What other reason would a kid choose Nebraska basketball over any other Big Ten school?
I have heard that this is the first year he's really been given extra resources. Thought is that it's held him back - and let's be honest, Fred is going into his 7th season with only 1 tournament appearance. He HAS to win or he's gone, so, I am sure there is a GIGANTIC push to get him what he needs because, how do you keep bringing him back? They are still selling out their games, but that's a long time without much to show for it. You can fault Iowa's brass all you want, but we aren't keeping coaches who get 1 dance every 7 seasons.Hoiberg evidently got the Nebby NIL house in order. I sense they've put together a pretty good roster going into this year. I believe I read where one of their portal gets is a decent 7-footer.
I guess we'll see when we play them.
Who's "Pryce?" Never heard of her.Fred has strong ties in IA, and Iowa is in transition with their coach. IMO, losing Pryce to them will always be something that bothers me.

Maybe I need to go see a shrink as I am finding pleasure in this post.Since the issue of how hot Hoiberg's seat is has come up, here's an interesting tidbit or two on just how low the bar is for the Bugeaters in men's hoops to be considered "successful" :
The NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament, also known as March Madness, has been held for 86 years, with the first tournament taking place in 1939. The Nebraska men's basketball team has appeared in the NCAA tournament 8 times. That's an average appearance in the Dance of less than once every decade! & even more impressive, they have a record of 0-8 in those appearances, meaning they have never won a game in the tournament. They are the only power conference school that has never won an NCAA tournament game.
