FOX News, this is sad.........

"A Detroit ER nurse has become one of the first Michigan health care workers known to have died from the coronavirus.Lisa Ewald died alone at her home in Dearborn — the cause of death COVID-19, according to reports. She was last heard from Tuesday. A friend found her body the next day. She would have turned 54 on Saturday."

Have you ever strolled through a hospital and checked out the nurses? All I'm saying is you better like them with meat on their bones.

I wonder if Ragbrai will get cancelled this summer?

Yesterday I was wondering if Casinos are open. Can the state shut them down?

I mean you have congested individuals hopping around many different machines touching all different surfaces. Many are addicted so will go anyway instead of staying home. Talking about passing the virus around. Ugh!

LMAO..

You clearly don’t like Trump and I’m not a huge fan either, but you really just need to get outside and think for yourself, because that read was like an CNN, MSNBC and Facebook Occupy Democrats Trump informercial.

Actually you are wrong as you can get all the info directly from what Trump has said himself over the last 2 and a half months. I think on March 6th is when Trump said there were millions of tests and there was no test shortage which was just blowing smoke up everyone's ass.

Not sure what the US doubling rate for covid 19 is but at 324,000 cases today and if the doubling rate is 7 days then in two Sundays from now the number of cases will be 1.4 million (and if you have looked at the slope of the curve of the US growth rate it is about 75 degrees on a zero to 90 degree measure)

Don't you mean 1.3 million?

Close enough for govt work and it is funny you are quibbling about numbers when there is so little testing there are already probably at least a couple million americans infected per experts.
The mortality rate dwindles and dwindles...

These malaria drugs are pushing down the mort. rate. Just need to get them out and distributed to the big metros. I live right near Rochester. We have a few nurses in my neighborhood who work in E.C. They are currently sitting at home as there isn't anything to do because elective procedures were cancelled and the virus is so minimal. It going to be bad when they start rescheduling all these elective procedures and there is a HUGE backlog of those. That is what may max out facilities when all this hype bs is over.

I really do not think exposing that leadership in DC is a total failure is a political statement. Facts are facts. The legislature, both houses, are complicit, so no Dems or Repubs. I cannot help it that the president is aligned with a party.

Take that up with Rob. Guess he will have a different take! His board not mine.

As of April 5th.......

I guess I'm not really concerned about the death rate because it is skewed by a lot of variables. Its total deaths that matter. We are right on pace with them.
The US has 5.5 times more people. I fully expect there will be more deaths in the US when this has passed. Right now they have no idea what the death/mortality rate is. They have guesses, but they don’t have any certainty. The question will be once they have a handle on that, what will be considered to be an acceptable rate in order to get back to “normal”. We accept .01% for the flu. Where will we draw the line? .02, .05, .1? Where would you draw the line? That will be the real test. Rest assured, there will be plenty of critics out there, whatever they do. Too early/too late/too high/too low. If I was the administration, I’d start educating the general public on this so when the time comes to make a decision, the public will be ready for it. That will be the more difficult decision unless it proves out to be under the flu rate (for which Trump will also be criticized).

I would think any state or local ordinance outlawing groups over 10 people would shut them down, especially those not on tribal lands. Not sure about Tama etc on tribal lands but since the people dont stay on tribal lands perhaps the authorities can force the shut down.

Since you are talking about elective procedures they can be scheduled and will be scheduled based on availability of medical staff, rooms, equipment etc. A tummy tuck can be scheduled later but not a bad appendix.
