And this is why I rarely break the rule not to argue with morons. Do you have a cork on the end of your fork so you don't hurt yourself while eating? This can be revealing as it let's me somewhat gauge the level of your ignorance.

This viral outbreak may really push the VPN, secure networks, telecommute, work from home options in this country to new high levels. Many service industry workers could work from home. Maybe companies that assemble items need to see if they can send some of that work home. Stamping, punching, forging etc etc wont be done at home. I only wish the US had way more of those factory jobs where we make stuff.

There you go again being racist. "African American"? They don't like to be called that.
Then what the PC term, PC. Please tell me! Because I've raised three of them (OK they were biracial). My avatar for the better part of twenty months wasn't Lizzo's niece I'll tell you that.

That's funny. I just watched a video of Sweden. All sorts of people walking around in an urban area coming within 6 feet. Turns out, you're just another gullible dumbass.
Dont listen to him. He tried to argue with me last fall that Tom Petty (!) deserved to be mentioned among the all time rock and roll immortals.

Yet, Rolling Stone has Petty listed as one of their top 100 artists of all time. You realize that all time is a long time and there are thousands of artists/bands over the course of all time? So don't listen to me...listen to the experts.

Hmmm...that's an interesting idea...maybe we should listen to an expert in the field...naahhh...let's listen to Donald J. Trump on epidemiology. I mean, what could go wrong? Trump said he knew it was a pandemic before it was a pandemic...that's why he was holding rallies and playing golf in February. That's what you do when a pandemic is coming...golf stops it in it's tracks. Then you deny it, you attack those warning of the upcoming death, and you ridicule others. It works every time...pandemics are immediately stopped by taking those steps.

He's been on this from the beginning...who could forget these great bits of wisdom.

"We have it under control."
"We have one case, we have it under control.
"We have 15 cases and it's going to zero."

Do you understand, with the knowledge being presented to him...how stupid you have to be to say those things. We have shut down the country and we likely have over 3 million infections now...maybe more.

One of Australia’s most eminent vaccine developers says there may never be a vaccine against COVID-19 for some very good reasons.

The Australian told news.com.au that trying to immunise against coronavirus was like trying to immunise against the common cold - difficult to impossible.

He added: “It is tricky, vaccines for upper respiratory tract diseases, because the virus lands on the outside of you."

Yeah I am 2nd generation American as my grandparents came from Italy and Norway area in the late 1800s. I know my Italian grandparents came from a very poor area in the boot of Italy and I am sure the US looked great in 1890 or so. And back then land was cheap to almost free and there was room for growth.

I am pretty sure people from Norway and that area of Europe now like Denmark are all covered by their healthcare programs. I do not know if it 100% of costs are covered but covered and Norway pays 100% after an out of pocket maximum is met. In this country that is not the case. A large percentage of Americans do not or cant get healthcare and even with employer plans the citizen cost is large. Education in those systems rank higher in those countries than the US. With prison and jail incarceration in this country so high the crime rate here is probably much worse. The water quality in the US is not that great but I do not know what the comparison is but ours is not that great.

So a lot of basic items in the US are inferior to those countries. We have let things slide but I wont go into why I think that is because that is too political for many here.
The problem with that so called free healthcare in Scandinavian countries is that it is far from free. A person with just average income in those countries is paying upwards of 50% of their total income with country taxes, municipal taxes, value added taxes, etc.. It's also a very flat tax system ... meaning everybody pays at the lower levels ... it's not even close to being as progressive as the tax systems in the U.S..

You cite Norway, so using them as an example their National Tax rate is a minimum of 23.9% to a max of 35.2%. Then tell them that for every $100 in food you buy we are going to tax you $15 at the register. Then if you have any remaining Euros left we are going to tax you 25% for all other goods and services. That healthcare system is very expensive.

Norway is down to 5.3 million people ... there is a reason most left.

Below is a good read about Scandinavian taxes ...

https://fee.org/articles/scandinavia-is-not-socialist-it-just-soaks-the-taxpayer/

This is the classic tax though, a Danish friend of mine who now lives in Arizona told be about this. If you buy a car in Denmark the vehicle registration tax is a minimum of 105%. So for what would be the equivalent of a $30,000 car your registration tax is $31,500 for a grand total of $61,500. The tax is even a higher rate on more expensive cars. Talk about sticker shock. It's one of the reasons he left.

Petty deserves that honor, just like Ryne Sandberg deserves his hall of fame status and is probably one of the 100 greatest baseball players of all time, or close to it.

But Sandberg was no Ruth, Mays or Aaron and Petty is no Dylan, Lennon or Cash.

Theres a difference between being a solid workmanlike professional hall of fame musician and being a game changer. You were touting Petty as the latter. Don't move the goal posts in this discussion.

So I make the references about Trump and the Coronavirus and your response is about a "Petty" argument (pun intended) we had like two years ago. OMG...are you my wife? Honey, is this your screen name? She does the same thing to me. Forget the insignificant disagreement...let it go. She has the memory of an elephant.

So, will you remember the all time great Presidents as Washington, Lincoln, Kennedy, Reagan & Trump? LOL.

I was going to press the "Like" button for your post but then got to thinking you may be talking about me vs someone else.

Naw, you couldnt be talking about me because I am not a moron, I post almost exclusively facts that are sourced, so must me another poster. I wonder who.

No...this was directed at TKMoron.

I am pretty sure you are being sarcastic and I still highly believe this country's form of govt and Constitution are the best. But the US also exchange King George III by about 1880 to be ruled by large monopolies and large oligarchies according to legal and other scholars. And it has all led to killing unions and good paying jobs, huge profitable companies paying zero income tax, and Citizens United and other court cases giving it all to big business.

I am not sure a lot of people from upper European countries/Scandanavian areas with their great healthcare and social services are clamoring to come to the US, not sure but just a feeling.

people are free to move if sucks that much.
