Yes it did, after the DJK arrest I saw a post on Rivals alluding to ARob's drug use.
 
OH ARob....what could have been. 2 more years to play, be a rock star on campus and get a free education at a fine university. Now off to work at Jiffy Lube. Alas
 
I'm not jumping on the"pro-marijuana" bandwagon. However, I find it ironic that Ferentz Jr has had 2, count them, 2, DUI's. Robinson was a passenger in a car. Drug charges will eventually be dropped, because it wasn't his car, and not found on him.

Get your god damn facts straight. James Ferentz has never had a DUI, he's been charged with a PAULA which isn’t drunk driving, it isn’t having an open container, it isn’t public intoxication. It’s possessing alcohol under the legal age, and he has one public intoxication charge (with Zach Derby and Tyler Christensen).

The rest of your statement? Your facts were so far off in your statement that you lose credibility in the rest of your statement.

Huge difference between Public Intox/PAULA and OWI's. Do people think or check facts before they post?
 
Ferentz has 2 or 3 alcohol realted arrests. A-Rob was a passneger in a car, who will not be charged! That's my statement you jack-wad!

Ferentz has 1 arrest and was cited for a PAULA, not arrested. Your facts are wrong again.

Robinson was also suspended for a quarter against OSU. He was also suspended for the bowl game. While has was suspended and the team was in AZ getting ready for the bowl game, he was charged with possession of marijuana. This is not the first time he put himself in a bad situation. Once again, your facts with the Robinson situation are not all there.

A-rob will get off the possession charge. Ferentz has had several alcohol related "boogers". You're still a jack-wad!

You should really get your facts correct. Here are the FACTS:
A-Rob was held out of a portion of the OSU game ('academic indigestion').
A-Rob was suspended for the bowl game (for 'failing to comply with team expectations and policies').
A-Rob was busted for posession (while suspended).

Ferentz was cited for a PAULA.
Ferentz was arrested for public intox.

Whether you think A-Rob gets off for his posession is not a fact, it's your opinion and therefore irrelevant. The fact remains he got busted the NIGHT BEFORE our bowl game, which he was suspended for and on the heels of DJK's drug-related arrest.

My OPINION is that what A-Rob did is worse than what James Ferentz did. Given the timing of the latest arrest (regardless of whether or not he get off the charges) basically tied KF's hands and he had to boot him.

A PAULA and a public intox (in the off season and approximately 6 months later) were not nearly as bad as A-Rob's situation. I do feel however, that if James Ferentz gets busted again that he will get the boot as well.

Exactly. And who really knows what the 'failure to comply with team expectations and policies' truly entails.
 
It's really unfortunate that a player that has worked so hard to be a starter, and has been given a golden opportunity and a potential to make millions in the NFL. Can't abide by the rules the coaches expect the players to live under for the time they are a member of the team. They instead go out and throw it away for a good time, when they know it could jeopardize their career. It was a pure bone-headed decision and he's paying the price. I wish Adam the best, but he has decided to leave with his actions. So on with the next season.

Fair enough. The point still stands, though. There were obviously some people that knew. But the claims that it was common knowledge are crap. A certain circle/culture/demographic might have known, but the majority of citizens in Iowa City were likely unaware.

Quick clarification: was the post saying that he was a pot-head immediately after the DJK mess, or was this during the "failed test" rumor mill, when it was rumored that A-Rob had failed a drug test? In other words, was that poster "ahead of the curve"?
