Bonuses are standard and Fran's 30K bonus is probably on the smaller side. But a raise of 400,000/yr? That's 2,000,000 over the life of the contract (assuming 5 more years) Is Fran a top 40 coach? Asking for a friend..

Bonuses are common 30k, 25k, etc. one time payment bonus. $400,000 per year (every year going forward) raises are not common.

Substitution patterns (or lack of) drives me nuts. IMO, ..8 man rotation is best in college basketball. Play the five best players the most minutes with 3 solid backups (a guard, a wing, and a big). Then have a couple more spot minute guys for foul trouble and maybe to give 2-3 minute rests...

Agree - but with Fran Playing everyone double digits minutes every game - who are the backups.

If the NBA set a rule that if a kid that went to college he had to be there two years before being draft eligible but if he went to the g league he would be eligible in one year - that may actually help.

Will Top Tier Grad transfers be turned off by the typical Iowa rotation where they may only get 20 to 25 minutes a game instead of 30 to 35 at other schools? Will Point guard transfers or Jucos be concerned about the coaches son being ahead of them on the depth chart?
