    Nothing From Fran Today

I certainly agree with the criticism of GB the way this has been handled. I do think it is strange that we want the head BB coach to comment on this. I would think this would be a decision made by Learfield/Barta. Not sure why Fran would even be in this loop.

    Tell me about The Fieldhouse

Was lucky enough to attend the Medeast Regional games at the fieldhouse in 1966. General admission ticketts and the fieldhouse was so packed my cousin and I sat with our legs dangling above one of the upper deck entrances. Michigan/ Western Kentucky and Kentucky/Dayton were the semis...

Thoughts, Observations, Notes from Hawkeye Hoops’ Exhibition

I saw some encouraging signs from the game yesterday. Esp impressed w Wieskamp, nice to have a skilled player that is fundamentally sound. Knows where to position himself on defense both on the perimeter and defending the post. His pass to Garza from the wing was about the nicest entry pass I've...

When is our "secret" scrimmage? Clones/Ne already had theirs.

    Dailey

Agree w this post, I'm especially impressed with his court vision regarding the offense. He seems to know where to pass the ball before it gets to him. Think he has quite the upside on defense, also seems that he is quite a bit stronger in kind of a rangy sort of way. Seems to have a good feel...

    We are Young

Not to be a contrarian, but I thought L/L was quite talented and certainly well coached.Thought I recognized one of their big guys (Stalcup) from seeing him play in HS here in Colorado so checked the roster. They had several high profile transfers, the Missouri transfer was player of the year...

    Who"s Leaving?

I assume this was posted in jest but I think this would be a possibility. Uhl , maybe due to lack of confidence, has become a pass first player and does not even look to shoot. He has looked good in our high/low set re feeding the post. If you go back and look at some of Iowa's game film, Uhl...

    Who"s Leaving?

As I remember, James Winters was a pretty fine player. His ankle injury impacted the team his senior year.

    Calhoun or Dakich?

Seems that ESPN turned up the volume on Coach Calhoun's mic during the Wisconsin game. With that change, I'll take him over Dakich. He really seems to have insight and enjoys the good plays. Dakich just seems to ramble.

Niang the most hated oppenent since?

Andy Kaufman. I think at one time he may have been the all-time Illinois HS scorer. Was at that game sitting to the left of the basket. The shot was on line all the way. F***!!!!

Will the B1G have three teams into the Final Four?

FWIW, was lucky enough to see Az in person twice this year (at Colrado and ASU). I think they are pretty darn talented. Can really play D and some players w amazing offensive skills. Still think I'll root for the Badgers if it gets to that.

    Pat Chambers Postgame Video

Re the Tom Chambers pic. Have a friend that attended Broomfield HS in suburban Denver. His team was playing Boulder Fairview which featured Tom Chambers in the state tourney districts. Tom Chambers stole the ball and came downcourt 1x1 against the friend. Friend set up to take a charge and got...

Some reflections that you may wish to ignore...

I agree with the OP. Even though we think MSU had a short bench, Izzo played ten players with only one (Gauna) playing less than 12 minutes. He also substituted almost every time a foul was called, constantly rotating players esp his frontline. This slowed the game down and made it what it...
