I imagine that this makes it very hard to get recruits in for games when they have to maybe play a night HS game the day before and somehow get to CR by plane in time for the game.

I think Wadley was hurt and didn’t participate much is the Spring. He really needs to add weight, I think. Parker is pretty small as well.

They are not the "end all" but they rather strongly correlate with college success and eventual NFL employment. There's a reason that FSU is defending champion and the Bigten hasn't won in over 10 years.

Might ISU actually have a decent offense this year? I really like that WR of theirs ( Bundridge?). He looked better that anyone we have last year. Don't know much else about them.

Those are all majors potential problems. Not sure how I feel about Davis still. He will have more weapons this year than he has had so far at Iowa. If the line stays healthy and the QB improves, Iowa might be decent on offense this year. I would also now add safety to the problem list. There...

Right now our chances are 1:5 or 20%. That is, if you think we have as good a chance as OSU, ND and Bama. If not, then our chances fall below 20%.

Doesn't matter. LSU was so much Better than Iowa they beat us with a freshman QB who couldn't pass.

Surprisingly, Tuscaloosa isn't much farther than Iowa City from Cincinnati. OSU , Michigan and ND are al much closer.

He did ha ve a pretty good year considering all factors (experience, mediocre RB, poor WR etc). All of those areas will be improved this year. Jake will need to improve greatly as well if the team is to reach it’s potential. If he doesn’t improve much, then Iowa will have a QB controversy.

It won't happen for the reasons you state, I suspect. It would also be a little weird to force a kid from Dallas to play at Kansas or a Miami kid to Minnesota etc.

Kids want to play in the SEC. A&M recruits top ten in the country as a team. It will be interesting to see how Oklahoma and Texas fare going forward.

Would LTPs ranking at DT put him around dead last for senior defensive tackles? I don't know how many of the 200 or so starters are actually seniors this year.

Didn’t Ruddock finish near the bottom of the Bigten? Why would the running game carry us this year? There are a number of new linemen playing this year and still no proven way to force good defenses to respect the pass (see LSU, MSU, Wisconsin).

Not sure. I think everyone ahead of Iowa has larger stadiums so it seems unlikely that Iowa would ever be much higher that it's current ranking. As Mizzou is adding on to their stadium, they will probably pass Iowa.

So you should have said, "under Ferentz", rather than under "this staff". That said, the whole conference recruits on a subpar level except OSU.
