Losing a close game would have sucked but wouldn't have taken much shine off. This...kind of does. from 12-0 to 12-2 with one of the worst bowl losses ever. This season will be bittersweet for a long time. A season that could have been. Iowa looked so poorly prepared.

Izzo definitely noticed. I think a lot of the "we got punked" comment was about how Clemmons completely dominated State's guards all night. He bullied them out of even attempting shots.

Uhl played one of his best games by far. Baer has gone from a nice story to a key contributor in about 3 games. Wagner is doing the most with his minutes from a rebounding/defense perspective, which is what Iowa needs anyway...they have plenty of scorers on this year's team...they need bigger...

He left because he knew he was given an opportunity, and for reasons, some of which that were beyond his control, wasn't able to succeed like the staff wanted him and the team to do so. In the end, it worked out great for Rudock, CJB, Iowa, and Michigan.
