I was there BigD, at the Kingdome......

Never forget the look on the Hawks faces walking off the court at halftime up by 16 or so. They were stunned......

The only way UNLV could get back was by making threes. We didn't adjust to the long rebound on a miss, and the refs took Kevin Gamble out of the game early in the second half......

Yah I remember during the second half the frustration of some of the open three point shots they were getting. I thought Mr. Davis should have called a time out sooner and not waited for UNLV to cut it to a ten point lead. I think he said later on that he had wished he had done that too. Great coach and even greater person.

This is one of those questions where I have a different answer every time it gets asked. Like favorite song or movie or porno.

I'll go with Dean O because it was awesome watching him carry the Hawks on his back for that first B1G Tourney Championship run even though Reggie Evans got the Tourney MVP.

Academics, if it hasn't been mentioned

Partly why I wasn't too upset when EC Matthews went elsewhere...that area around Detroit is not too high on the totem pole academics wise.

For once, I wish I were older to have seen Ronnie Lester. I will never forget my mom saying Iowa would have won the NC had Louisville not undercut him to take him out of the game.

If anyone thought of Denny Crum in my house, the cursing would soon follow from her...not a fan of him she wasn't...;)

Jess Settles pre-back injury hands down. Just dominated,and could have taken the Nba money but decided to come back and unfortunately it didn't work out ,dude was a beast. Well , him and a Jason Bauer, but he was a family friend however he was a great defender and team player though.
 
I never saw Murray Weir & Sam Williams and I barely remember Freddy Brown. There is no player that followed Ronnie Lester that is even close as an individual or as a leader of a team. We have not won a Big Ten title or been to the Final Four since Ronnie Lester left.
 
When I was a kid in grade school in Jesup Woolridge and Kenyon Murray came to an exhibition match for a charity fundraiser. Class act and for a good cause. Still have the signed shirt from afterwards
