Video Montage of the UNI - Iowa Fouls

That has to top the Iowa/Fla football game a few years ago as one of the worst officiating jobs. That was absolutely crazy, how does Gatens get called for getting tossed to the floor. F*ck UNI.
 
I just watched this again and I counted 6 bad calls in the 1st half and 7 in the second half. That was with me giving the benefit of the doubt to the officials. Let's say that I'm wrong on half of these...that's still 7 missed calls in the game. That's completely unacceptable.

Not to mention that 2 of those calls led to Fran getting tossed.

I'm not one to blame a loss on officials, but that was bad.

The free throws alone were enough to lose that game.

Thanks for posting that video...they should send that in to the "officials committee".
 
Rewatching this only confirms that the was the worst officiating I've seen in any sport. Hands down. F'n pathetic!
 
So many ticky tacky calls i almost threw up. But what i consider to be the biggest crime was the charging fouls. Not only do the UNI players not know how to take a chrge properly, but the refs also don't recognize a legit charge. A charge is defined as [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]an offensive [/FONT][FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]foul which occurs when an offensive player runs into a defender who has established position. An established position is defined as [/FONT]when a defensive player has both feet firmly planted on the [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]floor. After going through and watching this video 3 times, i found only one instance that meets the criteria of a charging foul as defined by the NCAA. All of the players who got charges were either not established or moving in front of the offensive player. [/FONT]
 
Where's the Cedar Falls d-bag at now? Can't comment b/c it's blatant bs? Someone, since we were getting hosed anyway, should've taken #33's legs out on a shot. What a complete f*cker!
 
pretty sad that someone can put together over 10 minutes of bad officiating, is that what college BB is coming to? UNI officals should come out with some type of apology to The University Of Iowa. How in the world can any coach keep his composure when his team, his kids are getting unfair treatment like that!! My man crush on Fran grows with every game, love how he is fighting for his team and himself, at some point he will get the respect he deserves.
 
great job storm, did anybody find out the names of the officials, what conference do they work, rarely does a couple of bad calls affect a game but these guys were very inconsistent, horribly one-sided, looked like an 8th grade tournament game where 3 locals referee and hose the visitors
 
That was bad. I actually thought Fran was calmer than a lot of coaches would be. How many charges against Iowa? A lot. Some of them were charges, but a lot were flops

it doesnt add up because when UNI pounds the glass and we cant stay in front of james we have to foul. that doesnt show up in the FGA stats, only the FT stats.

UNI also shot 8 technical free throws and 3 FT after three point baskets which is completely idiotic.

what a joke. a hawkeye fan cherry-picked some calls and put them on youtube. im sure that tells the whole story, right?

Watch that video and tell me how many fouls we got on rebounds and against James. I'll hang up and listen...

No cherry-picking there. That's every foul called against Iowa in the game. Bet you sure feel stupid. In this case, it's justified.
 
i dont need a cherry picked video. ive watched the game twice. where was the play with pehl and marble?

iowa cant guard. thats why UNI shoota 33 FT's and makes ELEVEN three pointers.
 
Wow, streaming wasn't very good last night but this makes it much more clear how bad it was. What is funny, just my opinion, is the first T Fran got was probably the best call out of the bunch.
Also, did anyone else see (not in this video) but towards the end of the game UNI called timeout and their player flipped the ball in White's face and didn't get called for anything? But yet McCabe gets a T for slapping the ball after he blocked it and it wasn't even towards another player but out of bounds?
