Perhaps Fran and Dolph should do some couples' anger management therapy together. Fran is a Claymore Mine waiting to be tripped. That was one time. I’ve heard there have been others. I’m at the games so I don’t hear the radio interviews.
I wonder what Gary thinks about Fran cussing out the clock operator. That was one time. I’ve heard there have been others. I’m at the games so I don’t hear the radio interviews.
Different employers, but your point is still valid. Learfield clearly has higher standards.Brian Ferentz can act like a maniac in the press box, swearing, trying to get to the replay officials and gets nothing. Dolph gets suspended for this. What a fvcking joke of an AD we have
What do you think the “ongoing tensions” are? From the above release:
“Gary knows we are extremely disappointed in the comment he made about Maishe Dailey and the impact his remark had on our players and staff,” said Henry B. and Patricia B. Tippie Director of Athletics Chair Gary Barta. “The two game suspension is a result of those comments, as well as some ongoing tensions that have built up over the past couple of years. This time away from the microphone will allow a chance to work through some of these issues.”
Hansen had his jaw broken in the NBA in an off the court incident by his own teammate, Bart Kofoed, who basically sucker punched himThat was one time. I’ve heard there have been others. I’m at the games so I don’t hear the radio interviews.
They also run on a delay, and have a dump button. So they screwed up twice for it to get out. Maybe sports aren't run on a delay?Honest mistake. I worked in the field twelve years, plus my college experience. Anyone can fall asleep at the switch, especially in radio where the odds of a floor director with communication to the control room or truck are less than in TV.
All that said, the first thing they teach you in intro to broadcasting is to treat all mics as if they are live.
Listen to any radio station. You occasionally hear a live voice over the music or during a commercial. It does happen.
Dolph has been doing this for over forty years. He should have known better.

Personally, I’m surprised Barta didn’t see that Dolphin got a raise and a juicy guarantee with a hefty early termination buyout clause. That’s his go to move.
I disagree about never. I was attending Iowa when Lonnie Lester was the point guard. That guy could flat out play. That being said, it has been a while since the Hawks have had a really good point guard.

Tensions like Dolph and Bobby having to call all the shit games Iowa played last year. Watching the unwatchable."Ongoing tensions that have built up over the past couple of years ... "
