So..Dolph clearly f-up this time. BUT...are the other instances more about Fran's thin skin?

Perhaps Fran and Dolph should do some couples' anger management therapy together. Fran is a Claymore Mine waiting to be tripped.

Hansen had his jaw broken in the NBA in an off the court incident by his own teammate, Bart Kofoed, who basically sucker punched him

I'm sure he didn't like Fran's foot coming anywhere near him. That was scary.
 
Never spoken to Dolph before, obviously @RobHowe knows him way better, but I don’t like how in every single apology he’s given he’s gotta use “we” and “our.”

I think he’s trying do deflect blame which, valid or not, is a scummy way to do things. What’s really at issue here was him calling Dailey out by name, not the recruiting remarks. Hansen wasn’t part of that and never called anyone out.

I don’t think he’s the greatest PxP guy out there by a mile, but I always had a loveable dork appreciation for the guy sort of like Harry Caray. But now...I really have lost a bunch of respect for the guy as a person for being a weasel and not owning up to what he did by himself. You called a kid out on air, got in trouble for it, own up to the shit like a big boy. Don’t trot out the “we” and “our” crap. Last time I checked, he’s the one getting suspended, not his partner. I don’t disagree with what all of what he said but that’s immaterial. Don’t throw someone else under the bus to save your own ass.

Am I way off base here? I mean every time he’s apologized he said “we” get frustrated, and “we” need to do a better job, and “our” apologies to Fran and Maishe, and “we” won’t let it happen again...Eff that.
 
Personally, I’m surprised Barta didn’t see that Dolphin got a raise and a juicy guarantee with a hefty early termination buyout clause. That’s his go to move.

Listen to any radio station. You occasionally hear a live voice over the music or during a commercial. It does happen.

Dolph has been doing this for over forty years. He should have known better.

They also run on a delay, and have a dump button. So they screwed up twice for it to get out. Maybe sports aren't run on a delay?

My memory isn’t the best. There’s the Woodbury rub I can remember. I vaguely recall through the years that, from time to time, GD has asked Fran some questions in air that Fran bristled at. I never thought much of it, heat of the moment stuff. But maybe there’s baggage.

We have a Fran press conference tomorrow. I’m hoping Barta makes himself available as well. He probably should explain what he meant by “ongoing tension.”

A coach should have a lot more invested in the outcome of a game than a commentator. Plus coaches routinely scream at refs in football. It's part of the game. Swearing? In football? Never! Lol grow up Billy.
 
I haven’t read most of this thread since the suspension but I imagine I agree with most ppl. Suspension is weak. Barta looks hypocritical. Dolph messed up, apologized, should have just moved on. Every little mistake doesn’t need to result in someone losing their job and never being able to work again. Grow some thicker skin people and dribble with your head up;)
