I'm not sure how anyone can be gleeful over a young mans injury. Georges is a good player and is fun to watch. Pretty embarrassed by some of the DBag remarks in this thread.

I wanted the clones to get to play Michigan State, then the state loyalty ends. I like Michigan State to win it all. Feel sorry for Georges, liked to watch him play. We almost had him. Believe it came down to ISU and Iowa. Also believe he played on the same AAU team as Melsohn......

I don't know that it is cursed, it's just a pretty small state with two BCS conference schools. Plus, a whole bunch of people move away after college so the population is pretty flat (and even that is only with a big influx of immigrants). The state will only be competitive if one of Iowa or ISU folds their athletic aspirations leaving just one BCS level program in the state (like Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, arguably Illinois). Sure, there are states with small populations that can field decent squads in both FB and BB, but they have stuff like KU's tradition, Okie State's T-Boone $$$$ or Oklahoma's Texas football pipeline.

The same could be said of ISU fans, as there are so many DBAG haters on CF it isn't even funny. Ripping on Fran, White, every recruit that Iowa signs, anything and everything basically. Frankly I'm embarrassed by the idiots in both fan bases. Yet get off your freaking high horse if you actually think that ISU fans aren't the exact same.

We were all devastated and praying for Pat. I stand by my statement. Your own fan base was one of the reasons your team crumbled. You should all be embarrassed.
 
There are guys on ISU I don't like. Kane and Long to name a couple. But I really like Niang. He is a great player and plays with class. I feel bad for him.

You mean like all the threads and post that got deleted when Stanzi got hurt? As I said I'm embarrassed by all of them, both ISU and Iowa fans....but please quit acting like one side has a moral high ground.
