Thanks to the NCAA's idiocy in losing a 9-0 Supreme Court decision, we're left in the dark on a lot of levels. The system is unregulated for all intents and purposes. It's the back room at a gangster bar. Deals are going down out of the public eye, some of them unsavory.

I agree wholeheartedly, no matter the propaganda from the lovers of this new mess.

You are either flat out lying or can’t read. Look at Hawkeye Insider, Rivals, Hawkeye Wire, 247, Hawk Central, and about any other respected source. We have been consistently rated #4 in the BT behind guess who? One source has us at #5 in the BT. If you are looking only at ESPN, you are a fool. They hate Iowa and everything BT. (SEC Network, anyone?)
What really makes you look foolish is that the corn shuckers have had a number of highly rated recruiting classes and have severely underperformed. The same can be argued with regard to Penn St. Over rated with a mediocre head coach.

Does anyone know the academic requirements for players in the portal?
Do they have any GPA / test requirements for acceptance into their new schools like other students or HS recruits?
Any other academic requirements like core classloads?
 
I still don't get it. By definition 75 percent of programs are development program meaning the can't recruit. The issue is that Iowa is a top 10 percent program on revenue. Like a handsome dude that dates 4 and fives and for what ever reasons throw in a 1 or a 2. Iowa under any other leader should be thrilled that dates are into rich dudes.

Those concerns left 20 years ago. Besides Iowa has mid pack requirements. Wisky, OSU, IL , MN, M don't seem worried and have actual standards. NW is an exception.

They’d just have to meet the requirements of whatever school they’re transferring to.
 
UNC's qb allegedly offered $5 million by two different schools to switch.

That's a lot of money. How much is left after that for guards and tackles?
 
According to the director of The Swarm, the athletic department will no longer support them unless they comply with Title IX. Sounds like they want all sports to receive money. Kirk, Fran, and Lisa want the collective to be able to market season ticket holders and Barta won’t give access.

I was thinking the same thing.

Curiously enough, it also parallels what many proposed before NIL... a Super Conference of all the P5 teams (or a pared down version) with the other schools on a second tier.
 
Does anyone have any insight on what positions or specific players we might be pursuing in the portal so far?
