Shimonek & DW

Yep...and I would wager Shimonek won't be.
Why would you say that? Are the QB whisperer and have connections in the NFL? BTW everyone passed on Kurt Warner he was arena league before his burst into the NFL sometimes it has everything to do with luck, timing and opportunity versus just talent.

That's the difference between you and me I'll take W's versus a fairly bogus stat. See DeShaun Watson last year and what HE"s doing in the NFL.
Yeah, our first year sophomore QB is doing horrible. Interceptions is a bogus stat. Turnovers never determine the outcome of a game.

It's not the player, it's the system. Despite consistently being in the top 10 in passing offense every year, Texas Tech has had ONE QB drafted in the past 10 years, and 3 in the past 20. The jury is still out on Mahomes, but it's not a reach to say that their success is more on the system than the player. You're not wrong with your last sentence, but that's the thing: TTU's and other air raid teams' offenses are designed to put minimal pressure and decision making on the QB, which allows even average guys to thrive with them.

System. Name last TT qb with all those crazy stats to make NFL prior to Mahomes....

Davis Webb got picked last year as well. He went to Cal as a grad transfer because he got hurt a year earlier and they weren't going to take Mahomes back out. Graham Harrell made it too, but only got to throw four passes for the Packers in 2012.

Good and fair points!

Good and fair points!

Calling Shimo an average QB with a QBR of 168.7 is a good and fair point?

Not really. BVHawk95 is a shill for KF who cares more about his future than the future of Hawkeye athletics.

Here's a good and fair point: if Barry Alvarez or Stoops was our AD we would finish higher in the NACDA Learfield Directors' Cup. It says a lot that BVH95 defends Barta with the same vigor he defends KF.

The system that Coach Bro runs has changed a lot from what Coach Talk Like A Pirate was running fifteen years ago. Then there was Coach Tubs and his power scheme in between. This offense mixes the easy throws with the difficult ones, has a ton of sweep runs that ask the receivers to block, outside screens, and tempo changes. Mahomes was the physical specimen with the NFL size and super strong arm, the other guys have mostly been too short for the pros or even Canada.

Both Wazzu and Tech have had oddball defensive performances this season. Its crazy how a team usually wins when it gives up less than twenty points, or how the team with less turnovers usually wins regardless.

Do you still not understand that shimonek admitted he transferred because he couldn't comprehend a pro style offense and it was too complicated for him and the footwork required was more than he was used to? It does not matter one bit what his stats are at TTU

Dude easy does it you're going to blow a blood vessel.

This settles the eternal question of whether out backup girlfriends who insist they broke up with us before we could break up with them could beat a team of kids we didn't want but could probably use coached by a guy who won't be there a year from now....
