I'm not a huge fan of offering a scholarship to a punter before we have gotten him on campus for a year. Maybe it's a sign that they don't feel great about filling all open scholarships for 2017.

Guess I am not sure why the punter and kicker are any different than other players when offering scholarships? Special teams often has the chance to win the game for you and in many cases much more of an opportunity than some other scholarship players. In order to get the good kickers I think you need to offer the scholarship.

Sadly this is true.. KF is truly amazed that a football can actually travel that far through the air. Sadly he thinks the only way it can do so is by kicking it..

For this year I would say Coluzzi was more valuable than J. Parker or Scheel and other scholarship players that for whatever reason don't get much PT

If you don't understand that punting can be very important to winning football games, then you just don't understand football really. No it isn't some glorified thing, but a shanked punt or a punt downed on the 2 yard line vs Michigan can be the difference in a game.

Interesting that Iowa couldn't get Jafar Armstrong to visit yet he visited Minnesota last weekend and Notre Dame this weekend.

It appears ND and MSU will likely be getting WR commits this weekend which could take them out of it for Martin making it a Iowa - Michigan battle. On TOS there is speculation Martin's dad is driving his recruitment.
