Racism unique to only Iowa within the college ranks?

yeah good article.. Chauvin never going to get convicted of murder one way or the other however.
I disagree. The only way he would get convicted (based on that article) is to appease the mob. Holy cow is there an overwhelming amount of evidence to support him not being guilty. I would have never guessed that. I guess that's why it's important to educate yourself. Maybe I need to work on my personal bias against cops.

1 depends on the news.
2.no

You make an error. You assume you are center of being right. You aren't. It's about human decency.

That's how I thought you might answer.
I hate to tell you this but being totally objective has nothing to do with being right.
Because as I said when objective, you see everyone is right and everyone is wrong.
You are unable to separate yourself from the issue and therefore can not even approach the center of objectivity.
So I don't know what you do but what if you couldn't wear a blm shirt while fishing on the weekend? What if you couldn't wear anything that suggested what you prefer on the weekend? You do know most tennis shoes are made by people who are basically slaves overseas, right? Most clothing is. So can't you see how that might be offensive to someone living in the United States? So no Nike shoes. No Hollister. (I'm just naming names to make a point, idk where those are made). Are you willing to live by the rules you wish to impose on others? What if you were Chinese and your sister or brother worked in one of those sweat shops overseas? How would you feel?

You don't see anything racist about labeling all whites as racist or privileged? But you don't want anyone to label you as anything do you? Are you not an individual and unique with unique experiences and thoughts?
So you don't have a problem calling all white people privileged, do you have a problem saying all Chinese are bad drivers? Or all African Americans like chicken?

If anyone feels like they have too much white privilege, they should try walking down the street in a predominantly black neighborhood at night. Let them see how far their white privilege gets them. It would be interesting to know how many people would feel safer as a white man in a black neighborhood than as a black man in a white neighborhood.

cops never get convicted of murder for shit like that... or 99% of the time they don't

regardless of public opinion.

oh my god man lol... yeah privilege is about having the power in society. Not walking in a bad hood. You can go around the world and walk in a lot of bad places with a lot of different races.

Privledge is owning the neighborhoods not walking through them.

I agree. I don't think half the people who have an opinion and are voicing it have any idea what Crenshaw is really like, much less for a white person and God help you if you are a white police officer.

I don't own any neighborhoods tho.

If that is true then how are all whites privileged? I don't own any neighborhoods. I don't even know any white person who does own a neighborhood.

when people are talking about white privledge mostly they are talking about power money and control. Not about "just being white"

Probably 99% of the time they dont. I'd never even heard of ExDS before, but my ignorant ass still thought I could judge cops. The example stories of other ExDS cases were crazy. These guys died anyway regardless of how they were restrained. Like i said earlier, that was either a completely made up story with made up examples and made up stats, or there were about 10 reasons why that cop actually didn't do anything wrong, or even cause his death. I remember after that 2nd autopsy report came out and everyone took that as fact instantly while completely disregarding the first one. Turns out that second guy was maybe full of shit.

It would never meet the legal definition of murder.

What a lot of people want is just for the police to have better procedures and training when it comes to restraints and using their weapons.

African Americans have just as much of that as I do. Actually many have more of that than I do.
So again how am I white privileged?
I bet the African American coaches right at the University have more of those things than I do. Lot's and lots and lots of African Americans do.
Isn't Oprah like one of the richest people in the United States?????

And I agree they should. Cops are on way to big of a power trip way too often. But it's also important to note that criminals have a lot to do with molding cops into the people they are. Men commit more crimes than women. Therefore, cops pay more attention to them. Young people commit more crimes than old people. Therefore, cops pay more attention to them. Black people commit more crimes than all other races. Therefore, cops pay more attention to them. Kinda makes sense why young black males are targeted the most huh? It does suck, but it's also understandable how it's like that too.

Like I said its different depending on the situation. Like if you are driving a nice car you aren't going to get pulled over because they think you stole it.

"paying attention" lol... yeah that's all they do. Like when I was driving with my buddying college - Ivy league captain of our basketball team. Cop put a gun to him and forced him out of the car. I've witnessed something like this twice in my life.

That's exactly what the problem is... you are guilty because you are black.

I bet Oprah doesn't get pulled over and they think she stole it.
I bet I have had more trouble with and been pulled over more than Oprah, Denzel Washington, and Obama all put together.
Can I then assume they have black privilege?
Or is it because I was doing something wrong? And yes I have had the police approach me with their hands on their guns. They don't have an easy job and have to be ready for anything.
