PG Joe Toussaint ranked number 2 player in New York City

This ranking only includes players actually in high school.

Who knows how many five star dropouts are slumming around Rucker Park and some of the cities' other legendary playgrounds.

For one, that's how Cleveland State discovered Mouse McFadden in the 1980's.

Who knows how many others don't even play for their high school teams anymore, playing strictly for AAU teams instead.

It isn't just New York either. I forget which big time coach in the 1990's said that there is probably a final four team playing right now at the Joliet Correctional Facility. It might have been Rudy Washington.

Joe sounds like he could be a good one, though. Maybe he can stop Carson Edwards and Cassius Winston from penetrating. As solid as our team is, I think most will agree that when we get knocked out it will be because of a point guard like Winston or Edwards.

There are seven senior boys up for player of the year in New York. Joe Toussaint is one of them. Six of the players are guards.

He has many of the attributes that Iowa is missing. Excited to see him in action next year. Could be very entertaining and another tool in the toolbox for Fran. Those quick, defensive minded, small PGs really can irritate other PGs, even for short bursts of time.

yes...I am absolutely convinced he will play ahead of Fran's son as the back up point guard. NOT. Connor has struggled a bit lately...but you have to remember...he's really a freshman just like Weiskamp. He hasn't played any real D1 ball until this year. He's got a great handle and he'll battle you...with some physicality. He does one other important thing...he makes free throws. He will be alot better next year too.

I'm not sure whose minutes this kid is going to take...Bohannon...no...Moss...no...Dailey...maybe?

Looks like he shoots right handed but is really smooth going to the rim with his left. Really good to see

FYI Connor is at 65% free throws in conference play.

But I’m in agreement that minutes might be tough to find.

You're kidding me, right? Dailey should be able to see the writing on the wall. He'll be playing for Drake next year.

Dailey wouldn’t be eligible at Drake next year as he’s not grad transfer eligible. He’s played his role pretty well in recent weeks.

Yes, of course, you're right. I stand corrected. He'll be watching Drake play next year.
