Penn State should give up football for a period of time

LOL like this is an easy solution, this would cause major logistical problems. Re-doing all the schedules would be a major headache, plus having to go back to no divisions after all the flack the B10 took for the division names last year would be a major embarassment for the conference.

Yes, we should try our best to avoid a "headache" of scheduling and division names because this CHILD RAPE ISSUE isn't causing any headaches or embarrassment for the conference.

You can't be serious.

You're going to argue to me that what Penn State engaged in is outside the purview and jurisdiction of the NCAA?

OK.

I'll just leave that one for others to chew on.

You're the legal expert here. You've got my argument, show me where I'm wrong.

Personally, I don't think it's an athletic issue just because it involved people in the athletics department.

I am not trying to side with Penn State or defend what happened or make less of the situation. I just think that this should be handled in the courts. I don't see it as an NCAA issue.

I think they should quit football for each year they failed to turn Sandusky in to the proper authorities, 14 years!

How about this one, dork...
A head coach fails to create and maintain an atmosphere for compliance within
the program the coach supervises or fails to monitor the activities of assistant
coaches regarding compliance.

Read the report, JFC

Is that how the rule is written in the NCAA rule book? Link?

Does the report speak specifically to NCAA rules that were violated? If so, you should be able to point those out to me pretty easily. I'm to lazy to read all that ****, and it's disgusting and I don't care to read it.

I bolded the important word for you. Compliance is referring to compliance with NCAA rules.

Its both.

I'm with treychase on this one, 100%.

NOBODY SEEMS TO CARE ABOUT OR REMEMBER THE VICTIMS.

**** penn state. Out they go, like the garbage they are.

And which NCCA rules were his assistants not in compliance with?

Yes, because since repeatedly raping children isn't a stated violation of compliance it can't and shouldn't be treated as such.

LOL

This is why I'm not reading it.

Just heartbreaking, and that's not even graphic.

The May 1998 complaint by a woman whose son came home with wet hair after showering with Sandusky didn't result in charges at the time. The report says Schultz was worried the matter could be opening "Pandora's box."

A 14 year cover up of child rape involving members of the athletic department doesn't make it an athletic issue????
