i dont think anyone here can say for certain how they would react if they walked in a situation like that. its like the worst possible situation in life. its a little unfair to rip on mcqueary in my opinion.
"As my grand jury testimony stated, I was informed in 2002 by an assistant coach that he had witnessed an incident in the shower of our locker room facility. It was obvious that the witness was distraught over what he saw, but he at no time related to me the very specific actions contained in the grand jury report."
This is the full quote. If MM was clearly distraught, one of them should have called the police. Preferrably MM (after putting Sandusky's head through a wall and after making sure the kid was out of danger).
Pardon me but that is absolutely the stupidest thing I have ever read. You're telling me you would be able to stand there, watch a child being raped and WALK OUT? And then go to your dad and ask what to do? Bullsh*t. If you have any decency, any moral fiber, any anything, you would grab that child and go directly to the police. The fact that he didn't is almost as vile as what the DC is being charged with. MM knowingly left a child in direct danger because he was more worried about his own job and the PSU football program. It's disgusting and unconscionable. If he doesn't fry then I hope he has to live with those images and knowing that he behaved in the most cowardly way possible.
"almost as vile"? Are you ******* kidding me?
I officially hate joe paterno and penn state. All of 'em. Simply vile. Sandusky needs to die a painful death RIGHT NOW.
Now this is just getting f8cking absurd - per the NY times article today the Paternos want us to believe Joe never knew that Sandusky was investigated by the State College police department in 1998 for taking showers with litttle boys:
"Scott Paterno said on Sunday that his father had not been aware of the 1998 investigation. If he had been, Scott Paterno suggested, his father would have acted differently when he learned of the episode in 2002.
“Speaking on behalf of the family, if Joe had knowledge in ’98, it’s impossible for us to conceive that he wouldn’t have remembered that in 2002,†Scott Paterno said. “Anytime he has been questioned whether he had prior knowledge to 2002, he’s answered the same way every time.â€
