Enough of late 80's early 90's slacker music.

That riff to "Heart Full Of Soul" is absolute ear candy. It Trump's anything the Byrds ever did at their own game. And the Byrds were formidable in their own right. The Yardbirds was basically kind of like a temporary post-graduate stop for great guitarists.
Some prefer the Peter Green, Danny Kirwan, Jeremy Spencer version of Fleetwood Mac to the more radio friendly version that came out years later.John Mayall's Blues Breakers would also qualify.
With Eric Clapton
With Mick Taylor
With Peter Green.

They've been through almost as many guitarists as Spinal Tap has drummers. Bob Welch was also in the band for a couple albums before Lindsay finally settled in. And they've had more after Lindsay as he's been in and out of the band since the early nineties. They had changed so much it's hard to compare. The mid seventies Fleetwood got so much airplay though that I haven't listened to it much until fairly recently.
Looks like trying to read a chemical elements chart!
Seen the Byrds chart somewhere before. Totally forgot about it.
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young needs a continuation chart on another page. Of course this would have Neil Young arriving and leaving at pretty much at random intervals, often in the middle of sessions.
