In any event, Frank Deford had a great commentary on NPR this morning about how talent scouts in sports and beyond often miss great talent because it doesn't present as they are conditioned to see, and that we miss out because of those gatekeepers. Look at all of the serendipitous stuff that had to happen to get Lin into the starting lineup. Sure as hell wasn't due to effective talent scouting.

It was a blowout win. Lin and the other stars only played half the game and sat the whole fourth quarter to rest. Lin only played 26 minutes after averaging 38-40 the rest of the time during the streak.

Honestly I can't "hate" Lin, he's playing good. What I "hate" is all the stupid **** that the media is doing to keep the hype train going, calling MSG the "Linsane asylum" calling it the "Lin-ba." I'm just tired of it. Good for the kid though, he's playing good. Congrats.
