Yeah, I forgot to mention Love. That guy keeps going at this years pace he may be an all time great.
Yeah. He is averaging 25.5ppg and 14.3rpg and is shooting over 45% FGs and 35% from behind the arc.
It is kind of strange that he doesn't get more love from the national media.
Blake Griffin is starting over K. Love in the all-star game and he has worse stats than K. Love. Just another reason I can't stand ESPN. It is almost a guarantee that you see a Blake Griffin dunk on SportsCenter. I have yet to see an episode without at least one... and that is all he really does. He is no where near as skilled as Love. He can jump high and dunk the ball... but you would think that he is the best PF in the league after watching ESPN.
I actually loved when Collin Cowherd said something along the lines of: "That is all he can do. He can jump high and he can dunk," because that is what a lot of T-Wolves fans are thinking. He is athletic, but is nowhere near as skilled as other PFs in the league.
Sorry for being off-topic.
Anyway...
I still think Melo gives the Knicks a better chance of winning. He may have an attitude, but you can find guys with attitudes on probably every team in the NBA... some are worse. Just the other day they were talking about how multiple stars are letting their team's down by sitting out every time they get a hangnail. For me, a guy who is clearly a huge asset to the team that sits out every time they are sore or have a bruise... is just as destructive...*cough* Joe Mauer *cough*
You got guys like Kobe and Loul Deng that play with torn ligaments in their wrists and Jordan who would play on crutches if he could...Then you have other guys that don't play because their back hurts and such.
You find all different types of bad attitudes in the NBA and I am not convinced that Melo's attitude is enough to just give up on him and say "we are going to start building around Lin and trade Melo."
I think you just have to give Melo a chance to find himself in this offense with Lin out there... because if they could all find a role that they are happy with... they will be a very tough team to beat.
