Just a reminder..

Our non conference SOS was 193rd in the country, let's not pretend like we had some murderer's row we had to face and that's why we are were we are. I don't think you should be fired if you don't make the NIT but I think you should have to answer some questions on how it got to that point

We played 4 top 50 RPI teams, that is a very strong non con schedule. Who cares if other played the #199 team and we played that #287 team after that.

Maybe graduating a 1st-Team All American, two four year starters at the center and point guard position, along with another starter all in the same year had something to do with it?

We didn't graduate a 1st team all American and let's not get into this argument again but many on here were ready to see Mike and Woody go but now they can't be replaced? Haha

I see 3. Virginia, ND and Seton Hall. The difference between a #199 and a #287 is more than you think though. Look at the difference between #237 North Dakota and #289 Texas-Rio Grande Valley

You wanna debate the difference between #200 ranked teams? You shouldn't lose to any team #200 or worse, and that is why those games drag down your SOS terribly, as they are for sure wins on the schedule.

No I'm saying if we don't make the NIT it's not because we played a tough schedule, it's because we were bad

Meh, missing the NCAA is missing the NCAA, I'm not gonna sweat over a couple non conference games in Nov./early Dec.

If Iowa played a Rutgers schedule, we would be a lock for the NIT. So I'm not gonna lose my mind that we played a schedule that had 4 top 50 teams, instead of playing nobody that got you a 11-2 record like Rutgers

Dean you are a guru at walking yourself into corners. Imagine Iowa calling out Rutgers about a weak schedule...

Mike & Woody combined PER (32.7)
Jordan & Cordell combined PER (31.7)

So in essence we have been able to replace those two. We have not been able to replace the production of the *2nd team all American JU. You don't want to get in this argument because you know you'll get schooled again.

So we went from a 7 seed to an NIT bubble team because we lost a D League player?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, you think I'm in a "tough corner" for calling out Rutgers non con schedule? Do you even follow Basketball?

Top 50 teams played non con:

Seton Hall

Top 100 teams played non con:

Miami

Top 100-200 teams played non con:

Stony Brook

Yep, that is right. Rutgers played 3 freaking team with a 200 or better RPI in the non conference. So talk about walking yourself into a corner, you can stand in Rutgers non conference schedule corner all day long for all I care.

You really don't understand BB at all do you? See my response to Gold, why don't you and him talk about just how great Rutgers non conference schedule was.

I get yours is a troll and all, I don't get why Gold thinks he is proving????

Dean, you are funny. Go back to what I said. It's like Chamberlain calling out the French.... expect that the French really weren't that bad in historical context.

Blaming our schedule if we don't make the NIT is pretty low even for you

I would expect to replace Jok's production next year by committee, with improvements by a few of our young players. It should be much easier to absorb than replacing four players production.

Why couldn't we replace Uthoff's production by committee? Also I was told many time's that Sapp, Woody and Mike's production wouldn't be hard to replace. Without Jok by your theory we will probably be lucky to win 10 games next year

If we played the terrible non conference schedule we played 4 years ago, we would still be fighting for the bubble because we would only have 2 non conference losses. This year we played the worst possible schedule. A really hard one with an abnormal amount of good teams, but credit for a bad one because we played an abnormal amount of terrible teams.

If the freshmen this year were sophomores, we would have been fine because halfway thru the year, we are already playing like a bubble team. What we have now is a bubble NCAA team with a bubble NIT team resume because the piss poor start against a really tough non conference schedule. By far the toughest of Fran's tenure here.

I saw what I said, and I wasn't in a corner at all for calling our Rutgers 324th ranked non conference schedule.
