Jurors hear starkly different portrayals in opening statements of Jane Meyer's case against Iowa

Would you keep hand written notes from Kirk Ferentz and Tom Brands?
No, but I'm not into human worship and ink on a piece of paper doesn't trip my trigger. Who knows maybe Jane Had them professionally framed out of her infatuation with a coach she wouldn't let into his own facilities. A 10 year old note from a coach who wasn't really known just arrived fromVirginia Tech.

The more I read the tweets the more convinced I am that the defense attorneys have let the case become derailed. it almost seems like the Griesbam trial. There is way way too much talk about her termination.. That Trial isn't until later. Putting her on the stand is a manipulation of heartstrings.

I doubt she saved them for a future lawsuit, either. Let's try to be rational here, please.

Probably true.

At some point, after Gene Taylor was hired and Tracey was fired Jane started to prepare for litigation. Both of those things happened in 2014, she has had plenty of time to get her ducks in a row.

I do think it is a bit odd that Jane lawyers spent so much time on Tracey's situation. If anything highlighting this showed how much this affected Jane, and how she was pretty unable to do her job after that because of this. Like it or not, when her partner got fired, she still had a job to do, and displayed that she could no longer do that job, and work with the person who fired her partner.

That was Jane's Lawyers that kept bringing up Tracey. The defense (UofI) is just now starting, and have called coaches to talk about Jane. Supposedly the defense keeps objecting to the Tracey stuff, but the judge kept allowing Jane's lawyers to bring it into the trial.

How deceptive of you to make it look like I said she saved the note for a future lawsuit. Are you saying she didn't have an agenda for saving the note? It just happened by mistake and she found it by chance? A 10 year old note? Purposely hanging on to a handwritten note is the same as agenda. It may not be a nefarious agenda but nonetheless an agenda. People that keep thinks like that have a reason to do it otherwise they don't keep them.

You're being irrational. People keep these type of things all the time. A lot of people will hang letters like that in their office/cubicle. I still have a couple of letters of appreciation from a colleague and a boss from several years ago. According to you, I must have some nefarious agenda planned lol.

I think this case is pretty straight forward. Everything was puppy dogs & rainbows until Griebaum got fired. Meyer lost her professionalism and it eventually got her fired. Her gender and/or sexuality played no role in it. We'll see how the Griesbaum trial plays out...

If you examine my post using the word "nefarious" I direct you to look at the 5 words that precede it. I'm wondering if you have found out that twisting people's words is characteristic of an unlikeable person. You have a right to your opinion at the same time I have the right to care very little of it. Especially since I have major issues with the honesty of people who twist the words of others to appease their own pride. To everyone else, good day.
